Memphis----- With the economy improving, our customers that were taken last year due to undercutting rates are calling Holland back. 3 large accounts called in to start after the Holiday's. Should amount to 10 drop and switch loads a day. A little history on the main customer (6 spotted trl's). This is a long time customer that was taken by Conway. Conway went to the customer and offered to take all of YRC and Holland's frt for a 90% discount, we were at 78%. 1 year later guess what Conway tried to raise the rates and Mr. Customer say's to Conway your out with your poor service. Oh yea, we got the account back at 74%. Some good news next week and I believe Holland is on its way back.

The chances improve if we could get out from the YRCW umbrella! We can only hope!!!

As the equity swap works out, so will the separation of the companies. The robbing "Peter to pay Paul" will be stopped by the new board of directors.

Good Point!
I heard the same the same thing.
Maybe we can get some folks back to work, stop playing games and start hauling freight.
After this is all said and done we will be stronger, wiser, and tell our gran-kids about the bad old days when the Banksters
stole the economy and how our company survived.

That's great news Brother! I hope that there are more terminals with the same type of stories.

I sure hope you're right! To ever feel safe, we need to get completely out from under YRCW. That way we won't have to "go down with the ship."

If I were a rich guy......I wouldn't hesitate to buy HOLLAND. We have a tradition of making service and making money. We have faltered recently, but we could easily be turned back around with some personnel changes.

Flash Memphis was headed down that same path. We still have 15 city and half our road board laid off, but there is no giving up down here mainly due to one of our sales rep's. SHARON is the bomb in Memphis. Despite the financial woes that face our company, she has managed to sell, sell, and sell some more. Sharon we appreciate your hard work. GRIZZ

Sharon probably deserves every bit of credit that she gets. It's great to hear that there are some management that are still doing the best that they can, instead of just whining and trying to "represent their pay cuts".

I wonder if Sharon likes cold weather? :d6625240:

We would actually turn in sales leads to her, if we knew that she would follow up on them.

i dont think we have faltered. i think yrc has juggled the books to make it look as if we are loosing money. i believe we have and will continue to make money. in my opinion yrc stands for y-yellow, r-roadway, & c-cashcow, which are the regionals.

Any of that freight going to the East Coast?

Probably not. Our TM watches these accounts like a hawk. Just about refuses to haul anything over 2 days. Sorry, he's all about the new footprint.

Waggs we have a long way to go. I'm trying for a positive swing for a change. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Some one does own the regionals now, and they should know that they are profitable and can remain so in the future. they would be even better if more capacity were taken out of the ltl industry.

YRC still owns the regional group and is that good???
