Yellow | Upsf & abf

If YRC did go out of business would UPSF and ABF be the only two union LTL major players left.

Abf would be the only one left in the NMFA and Upsf would be left with the white paper agreement.......but basically yes to your question........:TR10driving03::TR10driving03:

Does anyone find it ironic that Skeeter always starts these type of threads and he's avatar is a picture of FED-EX and UPSF the very companies that are trying to put YRCW out of business ! Just my 2 cents .

It's a joke fedup has been around a long time. Lighten up! Has no underlining meaning at least to me.

If anything I mean it to show being fedup with the way the whole industry is going.

fyi every ltl company that there is "is trying put yrcw out"

YRC isn't doing much too help out either. Most transit times have increased by at least one day. most of my 2 day lanes have been boosted to 3 days and the 3's to 4's. ABF and Conway are still the same. Cutting costs to the point that customers are affected is not a good strategy.

Believe it or not... UPSF has not dropped their rates during this BS that has been doing on with YRC. They are organizing a campaign for the sales people to get YRC's customers.... If YRC goes out of business.

ABF is the last one in the pension plan as of right now. Anyone that think that YRC is going to pay into the pensoin plan again is only kidding themselves.

Max Amount

but only until they had to pick up our pensions then they would be gone too

There is a maximum amount/percentage they will have to pay and already pay just like YRC did before we were TERMINATED from the PLAN If YRC goes out or does not resume payments then :eck13: will be the new PLAN for EVERBODY

speaking of dropping rates YRC is guilty of this. whatever happened to we are not going to use these concessions for discounts. an example is this new program were if you spend $200 on freight charges you get a $50 dollar gift card. I don't know what its called but i was talking to a customer last monday about it and then was in there the next day picking up the same kind of freight but this time the customer had some kind of fancy sticker to put on it.

WOW!!!! I don't believe UPSF is trying to put anyone out of business, I don't believe UPSF even dropped their rates. Although I do remember when Hoffa and all the union company's tried to put Overnite out of business. I am glad they failed, Now I am a happy proud Teamster.:biglaugh:

This is true. I understand they are having a lot of operational and claim issues. They are trying to get in order and then lookout.
