I think SAIA should bail us out or is that where our freight went ?

About Us - Company History

2002
Yellow Corporation created a regional holding company. SCS Transportation, Based in Kansas City, Mo. SCS Transportation, Inc. (SCST) had two operating subsidiaries - SAIA and Jevic Transportation. SCST was spun off and on Oct 1, 2002 became an independent, publicly traded company on the NASDAQ

The above paragraph is from SAIA's Web Site- Look in "ABOUT" then "Company History"

Sounds like CON WAY to me

the same reason we don't delete threads bashing them in this forum....

If it gets nasty and mean, we delete it...

You can't control peoples thoughts, if other forums offend you then just stay in this forum

SAIA can't pay their bills. They did not get into the rate cut game and consequently lost many customers.

look back at the history of threads like this - some of our members here have predicted our doom and failure more than 34 times in the last 2 years...

If all you have is doom and gloom - step aside and let a younger driver work.

YFSY spun SAIA off 8 years ago, and you think they are still funneling them freight? Really?????????

Yes, The same way one sales rep can go to a customer and offer services for Holland, Glen Moore, New Penn, YRC, all at one time.

So your saying the YRC sales reps are selling the services of SAIA, although they are not owned by YRCW? Do you have to have some one to tell you...breath in, breath out, breath in, breath out?

David Silver of Wall Street Strategies and Lee Klaskow of Longbow Research both think the company will come up with a way to secure the support of bondholders who’ve not yet fully committed themselves to exchanging their notes for shares. Those hold-outs are believed to be looking to get more in a bankruptcy filing, on the order of 50 cents on the dollar versus what may amount to 20 cents on the dollar for the offer YRC is making.

It’s possible YRC may offer preferred shares or dividends to entice the remaining holdouts, says Silver in a phone interview this morning, without claiming any privileged knowledge of YRC’s intentions. Bondholders hoping to clean up in bankruptcy are somewhat naive, he believes. “The bankruptcies of General Motors and Chrysler this year were a turning point for bankruptcy in this country,” says Silver. “Courts have shown themselves to be very sympathetic to companies.”

Klaskow says the bankers who hold $106 million in extra financing will help YRC

We are losing money b/c we did get into the rate cut game. Our genius operations manager thought it would be a good idea to undercut the rate you guys were getting at any customer. Why? B/c he thought it would put YRC out of business. YRC isn't the only company with morons at the top. For what it's worth, I wish you guys all the best. I really hate to see anyone lose their job, especially if it is not of their own doing.

Sounds like I read the wrong company info somewhere. I was reading about the new issue they are doing to try and raise operating capital.
