I have had it to the max with everyone crying about how bad the union is. Why dont you be proactive for once and do something about it instead of running off at the mouth on here. Vote the president out, run for office yourself,get on the e-board,file a freakin grievance,instead of saying "why file it doesnt help any?"Why doesnt anyone ever say how thankful they are with the union. I am thankful i have a guaranteed wage increase, i can retire with alot less for insurance coming out of my pocket. I can sit in a local hearing and see the system work for us and watch a jerk of a terminal manager squirm in his chair for trying to be a control freak and him not succeeding,i can see the kiss butt people that play both sides of the fence HAVE to go by the contract. Im sorry if your local sucks,fortunatly mine 519 doesnt. Do something about it or quit crying.:Flame-On:

thank you, it's good to read a positive post, what a lot of the upsf employees don't seem to realize this is our first contract, may not be perfect but it's getting better, our BA fights hard for our terminal, and it is good to see the *** kissers can't seem to get over that fence anymore, it kills them they have to go by the contract, but your right the pay is good, another raise, good insurance, nothing to complain about here,

no matter what you do, anybody thats been here for anytime will tell you that the union and ups will only work things out that suit themselves.driverts and dockmen are not even in the picture.correct me if i'm wrong and we will see the result at the end of the contract and the begining of the new life as you speak.but everybody knows the 2 are a tight as 2 ticks on a hounddogs back.one cannot survive without the other.u will only get leftovers...we will see..u cannot buck the union and ups...been there for 35 yrs and know better..keep dreamin....rlm...i wish but it aint so,,,hoffa and ups too big...:tr10driving03:

You kinda lost me on this rant, but these leftovers you speak of, are 10 times better than what we had before the contract. The bottom line is...........Whats in our pockets, UPS and the Teamsters have worked together for a 100 years, are you surprised they work together so well? Its not a surprise that the UPS name is well respected and its employee's are compensated very well. I think the Teamsters had something to do with that, or maybe UPS is just so nice that they want their employee's to be happy.:biglaugh:

Well, I have been pro union from the start, being a foodservice union employee I know how good it can be. But its different here, at UPS Freight. The grieveances are answered 50/50, the work protection isnt there like it should be. We have had at least 10+ runs cut and put on shiny wheels or rail. I guess if you are working the dock you wont see this, and everything will be great.

Yes, Im making great money and staying busy, but Im 1 cut run away from making 1600 miles a week and living paycheck to paycheck like many others here at my local. This is something Ive never encountered here before non union or union. Its UPS.

Thats not being a crybaby, its just the truth being stated.

well if you like the union i guess thats fine, i dont and im not a member, i dont pay dues and i dont need daddy to take care of me , i do quite well doing my own thing without the union help and i don have to make anyone suffer for my wealth. but you guys go on and pay them gues for things you dont earn and dont deserve the rest of us will do just fine in spite of you guys and the union,---southernpride:TR10driving03:

Ignorance and jealousy is a possibility. Or maybe it's a guy worried the days of partaking of sausage under the poobahs desk is coming to an end.

Just wait until you get your nuts in a wringer you will come crawling. I have personally seen it several times . You might find yourself thrown to the wolves. I think you are probably just trying to steer things up with you ridiculous post.

Harley,just for general purposes,how many grievances have you ever filed,and how longhave you been with our company? Also,what local are you with?
