Some sic's are starting the new bid this week, and some (like where I am) don't start until next week. Why the difference in start dates?

Were not starting until next week..... was told we were going to start when they did the new deal with the lanes. Maybe the terminals not affected can go ahead and start this week?

originally, the bids are suppose to start the first full week after the new year holidays, which should be today. Someone at XGO changed it to the 11th of january. Sounds like some terminals didn't get the message!!

We are supposed to start the 11th. I really think that this is like every other thing that effects the driver. I believe that it is pretty much "MANAGER DESRCETION"

New bids are starting Jan 11th. I haven't heard of any SICs starting new bids this week. The bids should all start the same day company wide. Starting of the bids is set by CGO...not individual SCMs. Same goes for new truck assignments....CGO gave us our truck list and assigned each truck to each run. The SCM had no say over what trucks went on which run!! :shift: :bicycle:

This is the first year for it, but at our barn they are letting the trucks go by seniority. It's has always been assigned to runs in the past, but now our drivers pick what they want from the top down.

I know this is getting :Off-Topic: but yes, the drivers can pick their trucks, which are assigned to the runs. The newest (Cascadia) trucks were assigned to the longest runs and some of the senior drivers bid these long runs just to get the new trucks. Like I said earlier, the list of trucks came to us already assigned to our runs from CGO. We could see this list before we filled out our bids so we could see what trucks we would have to chose from for each run. :TR10driving03::Off-Topic::shift:

Tractors are supposed to be assigned to the run. This is from the maintenance dept. Longest run, newest trucks. Now, we are bidding tractors by seniority until the new trucks arrive. Then we will be following the newest on the longest rule.
