It has nothing to do with their company senority. It's all based on friggen job class senority. Some genius in Harrison though that was a great idea so both sides could feel the pain
come on driver,if that is happening, then they need to contact harrison hr.but the way they done this when they bought watkins was to give us are job seniority as of the day we started with wafkins.if an employee stated as a p&d driver and done that 4 ten years then went to linehaul 4 ten,he has 20 yrs.total.but only ten years as linehaul with freight.so most likely some of these guy's at littlerock came from memphis and were linehaul drivers for 22yrs.with watkins and now have 26 with fedex.22 at the day they bought us plus 4 from that time.so if there is any exwatkins driver ahead of a freight driver in littlerock it is only 1 maybe 2 that had been with watkins 22yrs.plus 4 sence the buyout.I understand that 1 in front of another is 1 to many, but in the sceme of thing with the runs freight has and what national is bringing, no one is getting hurt. because of the economy.if the merger was'nt in the plans, those who have been unemployed would have most likely been, way before now.
FX doesn't have to justify anything it's their ball, their game, if you don,t like go find another game.Mr Breeze, where have you been? It happened exactly how I outlined it. Why do u think I'm so pissed. I never begrudged anyone from getting what they deserve but my God man! how in the world do you justify this debacle ?
There doing it all over
HR at freight needs to investigate this
I know of several watkins drivers who quit and came back 6 mos later only to get there senority back
also how does a national local driver transfer to line at freight ahead of freight local drivers who want the job ?
seems to be a whole bunch of B/S going on here
with more comming to light every day
this is it! if a city guy with 10 yrs.changes job class at the same time a dock worker with a cdl does,(that dock worker has 12 years) because of the job class the dockworker will be ahead of the p&d driver as a line haul(road driver)we all know that the stories are only half told by the affected story teller.they are doing this as careful as they can to avoid any lawsuits or trouble.this company is'nt perfect for everybody but is a hell of a place to work for most of us,so come driver and jump on the train to prosperity.don't listen to the disgruntle b/s.YA This is also going on at freight terms to , dock workers getting to transfer to road in front city guys and dock workers dont even have cdl thats crap
I thought the bottom line rule was company seniority, then departmental seniority.

Gee I see in another thread guys are making 40-50k a year, are they on a different train of prosperity?this is it! if a city guy with 10 yrs.changes job class at the same time a dock worker with a cdl does,(that dock worker has 12 years) because of the job class the dockworker will be ahead of the p&d driver as a line haul(road driver)we all know that the stories are only half told by the affected story teller.they are doing this as careful as they can to avoid any lawsuits or trouble.this company is'nt perfect for everybody but is a hell of a place to work for most of us,so come driver and jump on the train to prosperity.don't listen to the disgruntle b/s.
No, just counts as of Fall of 2006 but their allowing them to skip ahead of folks who have less road seniority than they do. Example:
Fedex employee has 5 years with the company but has only been on the road for a year. National guy with 2 years service and 13 months road can come into freight and knock that guy outta a job
when american freight became fedex they kept their seniority , the same deal was made with watkins, all employees keep seniority. i think we should have a bid once a year and one board. and everyone should know all (dock, plpd and linehaul)
