Why on earth would this company, or any company for that matter, choose to "terminate for economic reason" a seasoned veteran while keeping employees with less service in the same location? Its happening in the midwest this week, and if they get away with it without litigation, you can bet it will be the wave of the future.

Time and again, disdain for the very employees that actually built this business up is becoming more apparant.

...And, once you all realize what was done to these folks, what will your motivation be to go that extra step?

To do nothing, and assume that somehow, someone will make things right is just hiding from the reality.

Sales positions

Sorry, but when you are on salary you are their beatch. Salary employees go. They are actually judged on how well they perform. So if it is time to thin the heard, the weak go. There are some advantages to being hourly.

Since this continual sales purge is presumably based on cost reduction criteria, I am pretty sure that individual salaries were a contributing factor.

When you have a plethora of young, cheaper, and energetic talent available.................

It is difficult to form an opinion here as there is little info, BUT I can say with authority that The Corporation does NOT value loyalty, service, or their own obligations. This has been thoroughly demonstrated.
 
Just wondering if DSR and sales are on the same thing. When i was hired they make you sign an agreement that if you want to leave you can do so without any recourse. If im not mistaken it also stated that they can get rid of you in the same manner. This could be the way this is going..........just a thought.....
