If you get on as linehaul you will be classified as extra board. This means you will get a start day assignment, probably Monday night, and bounce from terminal to terminal all week. Running out of Harrisburg (York) because it's a big break bulk, you might get back thru the house once thru the week, but more than likely not.

I'm not real sure about start pay... .49 or .50 ish? Some of these other guys probably know exactly.
As far as miles go, well alot of that is up to you and how hard you want to work. And alot depends on the time of year.
I'm running E/B right now and breaking the 2500 mile/ week mark has not been to hard to make.
Sometimes though I get hung up some were and have to take a extra hook to get the higher miles, but that gets old quick because it cuts into your weekend.

Not sure myself there KD, but think that is strong on starting pay, .46-.47 would be closer. 3 years to top pay. Rest of the discription is very spot on.

Yea your right, I guess I am a little high on the start. It's been a while since I talked to anybody new to see what they got for the start.

Also the $7.50 to break or build a set. You should also be aware of the bunkroom thing. Some guys have a problem with them but personally I get more sleep in them because of no distractions (TV, slamming motel doors, kids running in hallway, etc.). If you're running a big shiney truck now, get ready for a stepdown. Estes trucks are generally mechanically sound but with LOTS of miles on them. It's terminal to terminal, no customers, no dockwork (yet), keep the same truck/ this is your ride to the motel and to go eat when on your break. If you got a Mon. nite start a local guy might jump in and use it Mon. morning but he's back in time. You'll get a directions book to all terminals, mileage chart between all terminals, prepass, ez-pass, t-chek card, 1 week ride along for training FULLY paid.
I could go on, but you get the point. If you can find a better deal, take it.

thanks guys for all the info. Couple more questions..If you leave out on mon. evenings do you usually get home for the weekend and how are the benefits?? Thanks again

You'll leave late Monday and get back Friday afternoon or early Saturday morning. You will have weeks when you get home 2 or 3 times and on the weekend. Sometimes you will get stuck in Memphis and they will ask if you want to stay out an extra week and they will send you to Dallas or Houston.(only if they are swamped) Then it's hard to get home, even on the next week. Benefits are dirt cheap for a single person and around $40 a week for a good middle plan that includes vision and dental. They have a cheaper and a more expensive plan

i was in harrisburg this week. nice terminal they got there. first week on extraboard. out of des moines. by day 3 i was in harrisburg telling them to point me west. they did so you might get home on the weekends. but i also know that i got lucky.

They sent you west on day 3 to get you home on day 5. They will get you home every week.

yes they got me home, but i like i said i got lucky. thankfully westsex pushed me as far as i could legally go. and rereading i wasn't implying that he MIGHT get home as in "don't plan on it," i meant more as in, "you might not get a monday start and you might be out a little longer." might was probably not the best choice word.
