At the camp hill terminal we were told that we are not to work any overtime.... The question is... is this company wide or just us 03 guys?...We all know this is not the NEW PENN way...So where is this coming from? As if I need to ask.

wow, i have NEVER heard such instructions given like this. not to drivers ! how can they possibly enforce this b.s when they can never tell what the next day brings in terms of business levels ? i highly doubt they're gonna risk losing more frt to their competitors by telling guys to bring it in before going over 8 hrs. the only people i've heard being instructed not to work O.T is the dock workers and office staff. certainly not drivers. this must be a Camp Hill thing.

UPDATE at 03....all inbound guys left on their 8.. still inbound strips on the desk also the west bound and south frt. loads not closed or ready to go as is normal....no combo guys sent to the city... 2 city loads not run as of 11:00 am. Your guess is as good as mine...

It's odd not to work ot because in scr. they want you to work ot so they don't have to use extra guys. When they have to call the extra guys it's more health and welfare for the company to dish out!!!!!!!!!!!!Just remember no ot could help the board.

It may be a reaction to the snow storms that impacted 06 and 07 and Newburgh and other terminals. If the metro did not work then they are leaving work for Monday's inbound and less partner work means they held loads for the freight from terminals that did work. If the OT restriction continues into next week then maybe there is a issue.

i agree with you. i think the weather may have affected their decision to stop the OT at Camp Hill as the entire northeast got slammed with snow and icy roads.

It doesn't have anything to do with the weather. 23 was told by the regional mgr. last week to do what they can to keep guys on 8 hours.

UPDATE to the UPDATE at Camp hill......after the results to Fridays inbound the company has decided to allow overtime.....what a surprise...I have heard a couple of explanations...1. TM called YRC and said "this ain't working" and the response was "do what you have to do to survive"...2. TM said "I didn't mean NO OT I meant no more OT than absolutely necessary"

You be the judge....

I work at 23 and this is not the case here. Sounds like another TB rumor thread started by someone who doesn't even know the manager's name or where he is from. We still have guys on layoff and everyone including dock works more than 8 consistently. Next rumor?

NP Driver I work at 23 and what I said is the absolute truth. That is exactly what Dubiel said. I wouldn't believe a word that came out of your mouth. You are the one who starts rumors. Remember when you said Shawn N came to 23 and was closing the place? That was an out right lie. And when you were called on it, where did you disappear to?

Let me just say I don't post alot on here but when I do, it's based on fact.

oprah is about retired drivers with time on there hands and nothing to do. watch dr. phil it's about people coming out of retirement and going back to work. what do you think buddy ( i mean dude )

How is this less overtime working at other terminals? I know we are slow in pittsburgh and they are working alot of extra guys. I know the overtime has been cut way back. I just hope the overtime cut will last all through summer. We all need a break from all the snow this winter! Not everyone at the terminal thinks that way though. I can't see it raising our production any. We also need to get as many guys on the seniority list as we can and this will do it. They just need to do their job and get us freight to move. All I ever heard was, "we cant compete against non-unions.' Now for 18 months "we are on a level playing field" (quote from zollars) and we are still getting our butt kicked. Remember its easy, pick it up, move it and deliver it on time. ITS EASY!!! Don't over think it.

We all know what we do MAKES MONEY.....IT'S THE VERY HIGH BRASS FROM OUT OF OUR DELIVERY AREAS WHICH LOSE IT NO MATTER HOW GOOD WE DO....THERE OUGHT TO BE A LAW....HOW DOES A COMPANY THAT KNOWS PRETTY MUCH ONLY HOW TO LOSE MONEY HAVE THE GALL TO TELL A MONEY MAKER TO DO THINGS THIER WAY AND LOSE MONEY AND EVEN IF WE DO IT THEIR WAY AND ACTUALLY DO MAKE MONEY,THEY STILL LOSE IT...WISH A BIG MONEY GROUP WOULD JUST MAKE BEGGARMEISTERBILLY AN OFFER HE COULDN'T REFUSE AND LET US MOVE ON....ALL THE PRESSURE THEY PUT ON IS ONLY GONNA LOWER MORALE...MAYBE THAT'S THEIR GOAL..........WAITING AND HOPING FOR JUSTICE.
