The other day at one of our retiree breakfast a retired Holland driver [705] told me that the original Clark family went to YRC with the hopes of buying Holland back to save it from all the problems that $Bill has caused . That would be great news . I truly hope this no bullshit.

The Cooper Family does'nt have enough family or money to buy Holland back. I think there is only one Copper that works for Holland any more.

Why would they want to. Since yrc has completely destroyed what they built, I couldnt see anybody buying holland. It will be closed before any buyer will buy us.

why wouldnt they. there is just about no real estate of any value left, yrc would probably keep the volvos as part of the deal,( which would be a blessing for holland), and the rest is junk. and the way they are ruining hollands name, even that is not marketable.

" SPELL YRC BACKWARDS "

Is it possible the Cooper family is seeking to have the 'Holland' name 'retired' by YRC, so as to in a few years the Cooper family can re-enter the freight business after the 'non-compete' clause has elapsed. Much like the Dugan family has done before?

When that retired driver said the name Clark It didnt sound right I thought it was Cooper but not have'nt worked for Holland I figured it's been a long time hell they were still the blue truck with the wooden shoe on the door .

mdk101- sorry but last cooper working was jerry. scott being fired helped jerry to leave sooner than he planned to. i think they've both been off long enough to find out there healthy an secure enough that they don't want any part of the trucking industry. don't know about scott but jerry's probably in africa on safari. he he

Why would someone believe a tale like that ................................... Sheesh!
Did you honestly think about this before you posted it. If you went back as far as you say, you would know the family name, and know there are no more Coopers working here. YRC isn't letting loose of one of the last barely if still profitable entity's they own. Boomer

Who is the Clark family?
I think that they clarified earlier that they meant the Cooper family, not Clark.

im a regional road driver,i was shooting the breeze at a customer the other day with a few drivers in the breakroom and i heard a dayton driver from holland talk about this. Dave said he heard they were going to buy it as soon as holland filed for the "B" word, which was expected to be around the first week in april. i was shocked to hear him say that, most holland drivers are very adamant about the company not heading for the "B" word. i feel for you holland drivers,i have never met a holland driver that was not a nice, courteous driver.

Thanks for the compliments. But, I don't believe that Holland could file "B" even if they wanted to. We can be sold off. But I don't think that we can file bankruptcy alone. We are financially entangled with YRCW. I think that if one files, we all have to. JMO

I don't care if it is the former owner of Billy Bob's General store that buys us, as long as someone does soon.
Come on shoeman, now that was uncalled for. You need to leave those DA drivers alone. If he had heard from any other barn I could see your point, but those DA guys their top shelf. I realize that the shelf is short, but their top shelf. LOL
