They should rebuild all overpasses to 20', or like the old one years ago on US45 in Norris City, IL.
At 20' it is no question, just sail on.
The one in Norris City was about 9' in the middle to the oval arch, Sides were somewhat lower and made of those LARGE stone blocks with a rough texture.
You were very aware of its height, as you could see its top straight ahead of your windshield.
Never saw it hit, but lots of drivers leaned some quality backing skills there.

The excuse of a driver is seen sitting in the truck.
Most likely a no habla dumba$$.

I saw a sign yesterday in High Point, NC on Ward Avenue that stated 13'6" but the sign ON THE Steel Railroad BRIDGE stated 12'9".

I wonder how many EX drivers hit that Bridge?! :biglaugh:

I live about 25 miles north of where this bridge is.
Over the years, many truckers found out the bridge was to low for them.

However the village built a bypass route I'd say about 15 years or so ago,and put signage up on the bypass to have the truck route go around this bridge.
You got me,why this driver was even down on the old route in the first place?

Well one thing is for sure he won't try that stunt again.
