JOE,

You are as empty as the comments and the pictures you post. I wouldn't be suprised if people started going to another board site as- clown

The board of directors won't let the stock go very low like YRC did. The board is obligated to the shareholders. Bob Young said in the past that any subsidiary that didn't make a profit would be sold. As of now there is very little debt & the assets (real estate), are worth more than the stock. The pension liability is one item that makes this company unattrtactive. This is like an albatross around their neck. One company has been successful in getting out of the pension fund, (UPS), & still has the clout & can get the funding to do it again. I know there have been rumors before about UPS buying ABF but now would be an opportune time for this to happen. An ABF acquisition would put them in an enviable positon to capture market share. UPS could play discount with competition for a long time. The one drawback I see is the lower than NMFA wages they pay UPS freight employees. That would be a source of contention.
I think the next step will be to take care of the share holders by whatever means is necessary. It may not be what the employees want but ABF can't & won't bleed much longer.

UPSF would'nt touch ABF and be a party to the NMFA and they don't need to buy a company to grow.
Since when do the BOD have the power to control stock price, only the investors can do that.
