I just started a job where I will be on my feet for hours on end and I know you guys know about the best kind of shoes to wear to prevent blisters and sore heels. Which are the best?? Thanks.
ANSI approved safety toe shoes. I like Rocky brand of boots. The Rocky's seem to hold up the best. You are going to pay more for them but they will last for several years. Don't buy the cheep boots at Walmart. The Walmart boots wear out in about 6 months and they will hurt your feet. So spend the extra money and get a quality pair of boots that will last.
My last pair of the Rocky winter boots that had steel toe and insulated lasted 10 years. But I was only wearing them 3 or 4 months out of the year. They are the Rocky Ranger's they are Gortex and have 800 grams of Thinsulate. I am currently wearing the Rocky Ironclads and I have been wearing them for 2 years and I probably have a year left on them. The Ironclads give my great support and fell like I am wearing a basketball shoe. I have only had to replace the laces once.
When you shop, make sure you wear the socks you will be wearing to work. If they don't feel really good, don't buy them. Red Wings are popular, but they kill my feet.
I wear Redwings,.......Steel toed wing tips!!!,...
I couldn't believe that they made such a thing,....So when I saw them I had to have them,...Over a year now and they are holding up very well and are very comfortable,....
During the winter I have a pair of Wolverine composite safety toe boots that are very warm,...
My choice is Bates boots. you can have a polishable safety toe in a tactical style boot that is as light as running shoes. If they are good enough for military and law enforcement then they are more than good enough for me. Besides, the most important thing is they are comfotable as hell.

What can you expect to pay for these type of shoe's and where would you find them?
If you have a local uniform shop they should have them, you can also order them through Sears, which is usually cheaper. Go you a quality shoe retailer and get your foot measured before you order.
