It used to include dsr's on the panel. It now has all management and I believe your goose is cooked b4 your conference call even happens......especially when you are innocent! If they want rid of you.....you are good as gone. They fabricate a story to make it happen. Plant evidence.......what ever it takes. And they talk about integrity.......

So in other words it's Conway's version of Kangaroo court:

Can you prove this statement ?

No! He can not prove that statement. Con-Way does not need to make up stuff to terminate a non contractual employee. Just more ignorant dribble we read here all the time. Why would you want to work at a company that you thought was doing these things?

I'm coming into this discussion late, but I will add to it.This happened to a friend of mine, was accused of stealing time and railroaded out the door.I can't go into details because of pending litigation, but these things do happen.

The part about a fabricating a story means coming up with a reason to suspend. They wait for the right time and stomp you like a bug. I spoke with a friend last night who was biotching about working late and all that.....he could in fact find him self suspended just for simply voicing his opinion. It is not very difficult to make things appear as if you did something although you did not do it. BTW.....Thank You Droid!!!!!

It is all based on one persons opinion of another anymore whereas one scm could recommend you for QLA.....the next look at you like a diseased kid with flys in your eyes.

Chances are......the litigation will not help out.

Hey , 2000. What part of, they do not need any excuse to fire you, do you not understand? I'm serious. I would like an answer.

I am telling you that the rig them. They decided if you are gone regardless of the statements that are given. I speak from first hand experience. Not from my own ETRB, but witnessing how they operate on others. Not all of them are like that. But some are. So they are all BS.

as I have posted before, as stated by the VP of safety... "55% of all employees going through the ETRB process retain their jobs". I have seen both sides of this... guys being terminated and guys returning to work. The discussion at the time was the new safety policy regarding roll overs. So if more than half return to work where is the rigged process?

I say, don't burn your bridges.. There is nothing wrong with going to work and being a good employee. Do what they want, get your pay and stuff.. and go about your business. For those that go to work and raise hell, raise hell, and raise hell day in and day out, will be gone if you slip-up.
We had a guy roll a set heading back to Dallas just before Christmas.. They fired him. He had an ETRB hearing... Guess what, he's back. Real good guy, got along with everybody, no probs. with management.. So, his hearing may have been rigged in his favor.. Like I said, there is nothing wrong with being a good employee.

45% of the drivers shoudnt be put out of service.

Merdock I have been involved in the dark side of this. And we are not talking about an accident review. The safety department is not involved in the ETRB'S. So I am not saying those numbers are wrong. Rather that there is integrity issue here. Remember they preach that to you, post on the wall, etc. Beerfd and Dodge Ram you are both right. So basically don't **** anyone off. Just be quiet and drive the truck, you will be fine. Unless of course some manager gets a woody for you for some other reason.
