I have been working now for over 15 weeks and I still have no insurance. At first I was told I had to work 8 weeks in order to get benefits and now they tell me since I didn't work last year I have to work 9 weeks. Well I have been working for over 15 weeks! Thes people tell you lie after lie! Oh! and then I'm told I should never work the 4hr shifts because yrc pays central states by the hour and central states keeps the money, and I'm left out in the cold with no insurance. This is hysterical! All the laid off guys I work with is having the same problem. Is this happening in you barns?

Hoffa,Hoffa,Hoffa,Hoffa,Hoffa,Hoffa. He is our Saviour ! He is all knowing and all that is good !

Call your B.A. and ask him to give you the policy on H&W payments in writing. If he can't produce this, ask him to call your Regional IBT Freight Director (Gordon Sweeton and others) and make him produce a copy of the policy. If he can't do it, then you will have to call IBT Freight Director Tyson Johnson himself, and make him give you the policy in writing! These guys who all wore red vests at the convention should have ALL the answers! Now make 'em work for their salaries and multiple pensions!

Part of the agreement that the Union supported stated that the 4 hr. employees would have their benefits payed "based on the hours that they actually worked". You should hold their feet to the fire on this issue. Make them explain why their agreement isn't being adhered to. Keep us informed on this please.

We were told that they pay Central states by the hr. for 4hr punchees. And that central states takes the money but doesn't give us credit. The hall says you have to work 3 days at 4hrs to receive 1 day of benefits. This is bull crap! Why the hell are we here again? Oh and that doesn't top it! They called us back to work after 2 yrs and then after some members quit their jobs told us we will be laid off this week. How funny is that?

Unfortunate, but not surprising.

Well you should see what they did to the insurance in our contract. At the contract meeting they said "insurance should remain the same, but we are removing the cap" so when someone questioned it, the goon squad started a chant for the local leadership.(dead serious) well guess what?? HMO went for 50 dollar emergency to 100 dollars, 5 dollar prescriptions to 10, office 10 to 20 and the topper.....Hospital stay 0(zero) to 500!!! Oh and if they admit you from emergency it is 100 + 500. PPO well deductible 100 to 300 and the kicker premium 1000 to 3000 out of pocket per year Oh yeah and if you go out on disability you only get 5mos of coverage then you must start cobra. And like what I heard while at YRC well at least you have a job, well know it is, at least you have insurance. Amazing!! So yeah lets get the HOFFA chant started.

Sorry I was just ball busting I retired last year 3/10 and I never voted for Hoffa or his father A thief is a thief as far as I am concerned and a lier is a lier ! 36.10 years for a 2500.00 pension and I should consider I am lucky so I'm told I went down with 6 Co's in that time but every one of them was better then YRC !!!

It's all part of their master plan to thin the herd and replace them later with lower paid employees. Sadly the big whigs in the International are letting YRC get away with it!! Shame on them!!

Been back for a few months and I can't get insurance either. Been told you have to work 8 consecutive weeks with 3 punches each week to qualify. I've either gotten laid off for a week or don't get at least 3 punches in a week when I get close to the 8 consecutive weeks-- so the clock starts over again.

Strouds take, on NO INSURANCE, it is not hard to understand.

What is the problem, why don't you file a greivance with the all power OZ, I mean UNION. See what you have found out first, that the no insurance, is the NEXT GIVE BACK, you and all the other TOUGH GUY TEAMSTERS "I mean yes men" will give back, at the next we are gonna go out of business letter that YRC sends out again.

Look at it this way, all the "YES MEN" have made the bed, you just have to sleep in the wet and stained, sheets and blankets. Oh yeah, I would not put my face or head on the pillows. If you are not a "YES MAN" it makes no difference, your bed is loaded with them. Snuggle up, and do not play hard to get, you will not have the strength to fight off all their "advances".:eck13: Remember you can still remain a TOUGH GUY TEAMSTER, as long as, no one finds out about your "discretions". :9529::fingure:

36.10 years, could you explain how you came up with the .10. I sometime add a inch or two to my gear shifter. You know in order to shift "my unit", to get on top of the"bigger hills". But .10. I do not get it. :9529:

Maybe he meant 1/12 of a year and that equals .083333333.......Which is sorta close to .10........:stirthepot::clappy:

I must have missed that "fine print" at the bottom of the last concession that we voted for.

In my "opinion" the health insurance is the biggest scam that the onion has going. I'm guessing that nothing has changed here where you needed 36 days in a quarter to receive benefits. If you only got 35 you were :::shit::: out of luck and all that money(around $3000+)that the company paid on your behalf for each day worked was kept and if you want insurance you'd have to pay the $3000 yourself. Therefore the fund got 6 grand for the insurance. Legalized theft?
You were never allowed to buy the day or two or three that you needed because according to one of the former pos local dictators its degrading for a teamster to have to pay for insurance. Suppose that has changed with all the co-pays now and inferior policies that members get now. Of course our officials get the 1st class UPS type health benefits paid to the fund by the members while they go without.
Come-on fed-x and conjob, sign those cards "now"!

PS: I have to admit that I was wrong about them making that payment into the pension fund, thought it would never come to frutition. Just to bad they had to borrow the cash to do it!
