Yellow | Transportation Industry Veteran James L. Welch Named New CEO of YRC Worldwide

all i know is,when i went to work for yellow in05 the stock was 56 dollrs a share, had more freight than we could haul, soon after mr. welch left, stock went to hell, yrc put that snagle tooth polish person in there---the rest of my time basicly went to shinaster....
im really curios to see what this man can do with this mess....hes pretty much a master at turning shiat to roses...well have to wait and see.....

The Big R CEO should have told Zollars to :butt kiss: but no he fall for it the same as Adam and Eve ,now ya see what happen .

You really don't understand how it works. When Yellow made an offer that was a 30% premium to the current stock price of Roadway, the Roadway CEO had no power to stop the acquisition.

the ceo had nothing to say about it.
It was basicly a hostile take over. the offer was so over priced that the STOCK HOLDER would not even hear of not taking it.
the ceo said no ,the stock holders said YES

If anyone can straighten out the mess Zollers made it will be Welch. I just hope the hole the was dug is not too deep.

I don't know how much you know about The Big R but like Yellow they were incorporated in Delaware just for the reason to prevent what you mentioned .:1036316054:

All we can do is hope that he does a better job than zollars did. I have met him and he did seem like a good man, he would give you answers to legit questions rather than co feel good b. s.
