Altho I have never been a Holland employee, why would any employer want to take a risk on you? Not to be mean personally, but with thousands of drivers currently un-employed with clean records and work history, why would the company's insurance carrier (they make the final decision anyway) want to risk it? If all your looking for is a year or so you may have a better chance at one of the many 'bottom-feeder' company's in your area.

If you have a possession charge, was it a felony? If so I don't think you can pass the background check for a hazmat endorsement from the TSA. Without that endorsement, a lot of companies can't use you as a driver.

What company is a bottom feeder! I'm willing to relocate, move whatever it takes. I JUST WANNA DRIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know what your situation is regarding the possession charge. Maybe this will answer some questions for you. Disqualifiers. As far as I can tell, unless you were under 21 years old and the court sealed your records, the charge will follow your for the rest of your life. Many carriers require all of their drivers to have a hazmat endorsement, all of the big LTL carriers do. Good luck.

at vitran they hire peps with drug charges, but u need i think 2 years, idk for sure but check it out, and if they wont take you, go to pam or star ( out of morton il, the red one), or cr england, those will take you.....

The top co,s will never hire you they discriminate for ever and they even check your credit and use that against you so good luck but as I say the big ones you can forget about !

They check your credit to see if your lieing about your previous addresses and to see if you have any aliases not your credit rating. I use to think that too but it aint true , its even against the law in some states not to hire someone because of their credit rating. Its double jeopardy if you cant get hired to pay your bills because OF your previous bills. if a guy gets layed off its not his fault and his credit goes bad, and he goes to court and the judge ask why hes not paying this debt and he says its because he cant get a job because of this debt it just doesnt make since does it.....

I know different its also against the law to bum rapt a previous employee but they do just by saying would you ever rehire this person and they say Absolutely NOT no bum rapt ? maybe not legally but the point is just the same as for Holland they check credit and judge you by it Werther you believe it or not !

I worked for holland for 4 yrs and when I was hired I had the worst credit rating a person could have and I was still hired.

Get an lawyer to ask the court to have your driving record expunged since it has been over 7 years (the magic number in most states) and the fact there was no FELONY convictions in the original case and it's a clean record since. That should erase anything over 7 yrs. if the judge goes along with it.

Must have been recently. They are desperate for warm bodies now after YRC, with the help of the IBT, made Holland a much less desirable place to work.
