So if this union thing happens and our new flag is the teamster flag. Will you stay or will you pop smoke and head for the hills. For me i will stay, as long as the check don't bounce. I have no bennie's Con-way so i am not worried about to much.
 
How can I vote if I don't know what is being offered? I have heard lots of rumors, do I have to give the union my 401k (I don't think so) do I have to work 5 more years (I don't think so, I can retire in 4 now) I don't have any time in the union so what do I get with 4 years left here? I don't want my 401k in a pension fund that is in the red zone! I just want what I signed up for 25+ years ago
 
:frown:one million 500 thousand its not all about the money cant you people understand its about having a say you know if they fire you because thay dont like the looks of you on monday morning you have no recorse even if you are a two million mile driver ps think of it this way they have there ass coverd
 
no one is taking your 201k that's yours,well conway invest your 401k in buying new trucks, cfi,etc.a union pension will add more money to your retirement. you need to educate yourself. don't buy the lies conway is telling you

You won't know what is being offered as far as a contract is concerned until after you have voted. The union cannot promise you anthing because nothing has been negotiated yet. I am an old Overnite/ UPS Freight driver that has been through several union organizing drives. I have been with the company over 30 years and can tell you a little about what probably will happen if you do vote the union in. They did not make us transfer our 401K accounts to the Teamsters. UPS stopped the 401K that we had when the union came in,but we could keep the money in the account with the same company that hadbeen managing it. Also you should not have to give anyone 5 more years to be vested in the pension fund. We I retire Iwill get two checks, one from the old Overnite/UPS non-union pension fund and a much smaller check from the UPS union pension fund. I hope the best for you guys and I'm not trying to campaign in any way. Just trying to give some insight on what might happen.

How about we give you the same pay you had 25 years ago? You don't want that do you? Don't sign any card. They just want your money.

Yeah, and when they can't afford it, we'll be just like YRC. I can't wait for the lay-offs to start. This company is not big enough to sustain all that pension and other stuff..

like I said if I could have what was promised 25 years ago, I would have yearly pay raises, pension and health care until I'm 65

Br patient, trust Conway, and 25 year old wages are exactly what is in store for us....less pension, healthcare, sick days, and vacation.
 
I see nearly 15% state they would leave if faced with a union Conway.

Anybody think they are being honest and will really leave, or that they simply want to make a point by lying?...........a skill learned from our leaders.
