January 24, 2011: A six-month investigation by the Election Supervisor found that Hoffa and his administration tried to buy off three top Teamster officials, by offering them lucrative jobs and pensions in exchange for their backing in the IBT election.

The investigation found five top Hoffa administration officials directly implicated in the scandal:

* Hoffa and Tyson Johnson each offered Henry Perry an International Rep job if he would resign from the GEB, support Hoffa and donate to the campaign.
* Rome Aloise, an International Vice President, offered the same deal to Frank Gallegos, another International Trustee.
* Hoffa running mate Ken Hall offered a salary increase and an additional pension to Carhaul Director Fred Zuckerman if he would drop his bid to be on the GEB and back the Hoffa Slate.

All three officials turned down the bribes. Gallegos didn’t trust Hoffa to follow through on the deal. Perry is running with Fred Gegare. So is Zuckerman...............

Where are the feds ? The union is still under a consent decree. Time for yet another Teamster president to get thrown in the clink , in the best teamster tradition .

What happened to "never believe anything TDU says"???

Damn, When I would say jimmy and "little" johnson were a pos, I didn't realize what BIG PsOS!!! These PsOS do what they accused Ron Carey of doing 10x over and it turned out Carey was innocent of all charges.
If this had gone through how much would it have cost the members and the in critical status pension funds.
:::shit::: like this is why the pos onion and all the locals should have a complete outside audit from accountants that specialize in fraud to see where every dime of "our" money goes.
Like Fr8 said, wheres the feds or is the kenyan protecting him for his campaign support? But then again, did anything ever come from the regime trying to bribe that guy in PA(sestak) to keep him from running for the Senate.
Excuse me for a monment, I have to puke!!!

One thing I can say about TDU is they understand the benefits of producing and maintaining an RSS feed – for years I have been a subscriber to the TDU feed. At the same time I subscribed to the TDU feed I subscribed to the IBT feed – no matter what I did I could not get the IBT feed to function properly and eventually deleted it.

Now years later after reading the above comments, I went to the IBT website where I copied the shortcut, and then dropped it in Google Reader and lo-and-behold the feed actually worked.

In case you are not familiar with RSS, it is a system to automatically deliver content from a website to your computer without the need to visit the website first. As new articles are published the headlines are pushed to you computer where you can click on them if they look interesting. I have a variety of feeds including feeds for YRC, TDU, Truckingboards and now the IBT.

What about the bribe we received from Tyson and Hoffa to vote yes? "Vote yes to protect good union jobs" Hmm? YRC is a good union job???HAHAHAHA!

After reading a portion of the document produced by the OFFICE OF THE ELECTION SUPERVISOR it looks less like a case of bribery in the traditional sense, and more like a case of “Golden Parachutes” in exchange for promises by certain parties to get lost. It appears that they really wanted to get rid of a certain party in particular, and were willing to trade favors to ensure that party left without disrupting the campaign. The most damaging accusations revolve around bargaining for support from those they sought to eliminate: including a condition to fund-raise on behalf of the campaign in exchange for the Golden Parachutes.

You see, this is how it works. They didn't realize that forging a signature would be an issue and it wasn't 'willful miscounduct', it was done by accident, and of course they have promised not to do it in the future. Priceless....................

they had violated the Rules by using Perry’s signature without his permission. Gegare appealed the decision, agreeing that the Hoffa campaign had misappropriated
Perry’s endorsement but contending that the remedy ordered was insufficient to mitigate the harm caused by the violation or to deter similar misconduct in the future.

Hoffa-Keegel 2011 contested the appeal, arguing that the remedy was more than sufficient because the violation we found was not the result of willful misconduct

if i were to solicit for illicit services, the solicitation is a crime, regardless of the act being attempted or consummated, very little intent is needed, if any.
