The road to throwing groceries with PFG as to MAVERICKBUBBA

Well GT I don't want to be busted up. My shoulder has been bothering me again. But on the bright side I had a interview last week with a steel company and that should be easier then this!

Another shuttle driver quit Friday. They offered send him 4 days a week for the same pay. He didn't think it would last. Like they would lie to you or something.

Well guys PFG turned me down today,i only had 6 mos of otr and they couldn`t take the risk on me due to Insurance.
I thanked them for giving me the interview and i`m sorry that it didn`t work out for the both of us.

Is their any foodservice companies that have a driver trainee program?

Well man that sux. They just fired another guy can't get good people and they are still firing folks, but rules are there for a reason.

Im thinking about applying for the Athens terminal again went for an interview a couple of years back and couldnt take it due to the start time...I have worked food service before at H.T. Hackney in Huntsville before (very low paying) worked there almost 2 years... I see you said in your earlier post that you were bringing home around 1600 a week after taxes?? this is really making me anxious to put in an app since I see they're hiring! Anything else I should know about or warnings before hand besides the hard work and busting my ass? hows the equipment?

I think he might have meant 1600 gross, I know one guy thats bringing home that kind of scratch is our first key drop guy and he is throwing 7000 and more cases a week, guy is a friggin machine.

I thought that was a little high but earlier in the thread he said 2000 before taxes and around 1600 after for his first week and his second week he made 1621 which has me like :woohoo1:

Well, its possible, we have 3 men in the entire state of OK that make that fairly consistantly, thats a very small %, Hey if the man said it then I don't see any reason for him to lie. I don't even know who said it, I guess I could do a search or go through this entire thread, it would be so much easier if you told me who said it MoneyBagz. Knowing that little bit of info would speak volumes.

Sorry it was MaverickBubba who said it

He makes more than I ever did with PFG, if I broke a grand I was happy, 900 something most weeks, and thats if I had the miles, things change, its been 3 yrs since I was there, Bubba is a good guy, I don't see any reason why he would fib.

The way PFG works is the national outfit owns a lot of regional food service companies. Each of those outfits has their own pay structure and management. Some are union and some are not. The unit I work for is union. I am paid hourly and make a bit over 1K a week gross for appx 48 hours/4 days. If I'm working extra the money build up fast (time and a half after 40). My highest check was about 1700 gross (69 hours).

That's for 2 weeks. I work about 60 hrs a week. About 1500 miles, 2500 cases, and 10-15 stops. I average $1000 gross a week. We're paid biweekly.

Yay one more week till vacation. Man am I'm ready! We are not not doing much. My daughter is coming home for a few days. She is bringing her boyfriend to meet us. I guess they are planning to get married next year.

Really not a lot going on at PFG just like always really . Short of people and always real"We are fixing to hire a lot of drivers." The one they do hire are lazy, thieves, or get hurt and fail there drug test.

At least I have a job that pay pretty good so that something positive
right? LoL
