ODFL | Does OD hire ex Teamsters?

Historical landmark in Jersey city just because i slept there last week, they are gonna put a statue of me right next to the fuel pump. I was in and out of there 3 times last week. I hit Har,POR,BAL,BOS,JCY and SFD. Good times

I would have to agree with you. I tried OD twice before I had a union job and each time they sent me for a physical the same day. By doing that so quckly it made me think there was no stability there. I stepped away, in hind site I think maybe it was management at that time. Once I talked to some of those guys and heard how they treat their drivers I wish I had took those offers. They seem like a good fit for me. After numerous layoffs and instability with the union companies I walked away completely. Now I try OD and I get nothing. If anything I'm more qualified and still no accidents. I get the feeling that they throw my app away soon as I walk out. And no I'm not an entitled union man. Just a man screwed by the union who wants to work for a descent outfit

Does the t/m interview you when you fill the app out ?

As a former 4 truck owner, if I went through the process TWICE with an applicant who backed out. Wasted my time. Then came back again. What would your attitude be towards that person? union or not.

How did I waste their time, it was fill out the app they take 5 minutes at the most to look at it and then send you the clinic, hell I paid out of my pocket the first time and the second time I didn't bother. They didn't even write anything down back than how could they remember who wasted their time, besides from what I'm hearing its a new hiring group anyway

if you have more than a couple years in a union shop you will never get approved by home office...area VP or safety dept will reject your application and terminal manager will get a earfull for even trying........speaking from experience...policy is not "written" but is enforced...everyone is terrified of salting

Recently found out one of the drivers they hired has a criminal record for window peeping on young girls. So that's better than having worked union?

If you're looking to start some crap take it somewhere else. This is 2 warnings in one ...first and last.

We have 2 x teamsters at my barn as well. And no one is working here with a criminal record for peeping or anything else. Criminal record = no job.
