I am wondering how many of young drivers at Fedex have ever driven otr before starting here just wondering:o

10 years as an owner operator pulling dry van mostly east and south..Sold out 12 1/2 years ago and started for AF,, never looked back..With cost structures the way they are now I could not imagine having to try and make it work again...

I've been everywhere man. Coast to Coast, top to bottom. Every mountain pass in the US through the snow and sunshine. Thrown more iron than I care to recall. And the women...... oh my!!

Drove bobtail for two years then joined Viking at 21.
Only drove intrastate. Kinda wished I did the OTR thing when I was younger.
My friend and I thought about being OO's. We were figuring out a budget on $1 a mile......and that was in the late 80's......go figure

I backed up Vail !!! with doubles and chained up. Sideways down / up US 6.

Really I'm a failed owner op. Done OTR a few years. Estes is OTR. done that for three years running west mostly with them. You think them Farmall caddys are pullin mo-chines on mount eagle as FXF blows their doors off ...you outta wrestle them no jake having beauties up and down Wolf Creek. C'mon
***** all you guys want about dock and shuttle I will trip over myself to do it. Happy to be home and have money.

First pic is up in Montana heading to Florida in the POS truck I owned

Second pic is snowed in on 395 in June lake CA for three days. Paid well 0 dollars for three days

Guess I'm just a Viking baby. Hired on at 20, became a driver a month later...been here ever since because I haven't found a better option.

9 years otr, 6 years ltl, driven a truck in 48 states and 4 canadian providences. I don't like being a shuttle driver but it pays better than anything else and i'm home everynight. Its well worth the trade off.

Never drove otr I have had 2 jobs in trucking for the past 26-27 years

Worked for a small company called Fredrickson for 8 years then went to AF/Fedex

Whats over the road? Is that where you go from one shoulder, over the road, to the other shoulder? Like when your texting and driving? LOL

started out as grain hauler, in an old 238 white detroit, cab about to fall off, and had to wear carharts while driving in the winter, but loved it, that was 30 years ago, and still going strong for now, did a litlle flabed, anhydrous tanker, reefer unit, the best trucking job was delivering new trailers, but it did not pay very well, was grandfathered in when the cdl kicked in, and i hate the new breed of truckers, bunch of non driving, well i wont cuss no the trucking boards, i still like to truck, but hate all the rules
