whats the starting rate at xan?
no i think its allentown.
starting rate and top rate how long to get there

if it's like here not bad to start ($18.75/hr .43/mi) but sucks to take 5 and almost 1/2 yrs to top out and the insurance (takes 15 months to get it along with your first raise), if you're married with kids will hurt. it's a job though if you aint got one

well.... 90 days and you get the bottom insurance but don't depend on it. family insurance cost me 5/week then it went to 18/wk but there was no vision or dental and I had a $6000, (yes 3 0's) deductible. that is the only insurance they offer to first year employees. you do your 90 days (3months) then you have to go another 12 months before you get your regular insurance. then they have multiple plans you can buy. now after 90 days you can get an FSA health savings accout of up to $5000 dollars after 90 days but they will take that back out of your weekly check. if you don't use it all you lose what's left at the end of the year even though you paid for it out of your checks. the later you get it in the year the more you pay per week. for example if you get $1000 fsa in January you will pay $19.23/wk till the end of the year to pay it back, but if you get it in september you will pay roughly $55.55/wk till the end of the year to pay it back

There is also A company paid Healthcare reimbursement account for one of the tiers of insurance. This money rolls over if not used.. You forgot that part.

where? all i was offered were 3 different plans. 1 sucked, 1 was so so, and so I got the expensive one cuz of the no deductible. there was also the health savings plan, but no where did I see anything company paid or roll over. so no I forgot nothing.

better? did you read my post? the insurance you pay for is only for catastrophic events. it has a $6,000 deductible, no vision, no dental. No it's not $25, it's not even $24. You will get a .40/hr raise after 15 months and your insurance which completely negates the .40/hr and then some.

I remember 4 plans. 1 sucked and 1 really sucked. The 3rd was good if you were in good health and can let the fund build before you need it (it's a gamble), and the 4th was the expensive one. That's about all I remember. I moved to a job that has really good insurance and 100% company paid, at least for more 2 years anyway. If health care costs keep rising, we may have to start paying into it, just like Con-way did.

The Country went into a recession, the housing market crashed, the markets crashed, thousands of people were laid-off in the year following. And we're still trying to climb out of the recession. It was all in the newpaper.

i meant to conway in 2008, last i checked not every company took a dive

Conway used the recession as a scape goat to rob every DSR of their pay, insurance, vacation and 401k. They doubled their 2011 2nd quarter profits by using contractors to pull our freight and rob the customer of fuel surcharge and sell them safe stack service that is not equipped in the contractors trailers. That sums it up pretty well. Oh yeah they restored our pay but jacked up our heath insurance to offset the 5% restoration of pay.

I take back what I said before; I think I would rather look at your stool, rather than listen to it.. A lot of companies did the same thing to survive. Do some reading please. I'm trying to quit commenting on these posts, but it's hard to ignore the ignorance of them..

Of course their young and out of school. NON-experieced drivers can be brain washed. Why do think we had 50 million in claims last year? Experienced ltl drivers dont apply here due to their reputation and the fear of being fired everyday. Their is no job security in that.

Truth hurts beerfd, i know. I live it monday through friday. Come back down to earth and you will see the light. Let me refresh your memory. We operated right under #1Old D during the recession and still do. They Had 0 cuts and recieved 2 raises. Conway cut tons of benefits and is still making a killing. Conway buys themselves new trucks, handhelds, uniforms, ect......take off your blinders.
