I remember when we used to have 10 sick day's, 5 personal floating holiday's, 2 option day's, all our vacation, company retirement and on and on. They are going to keep picking away at our benifit package and now they have at least slowed down. I don't think you are giving enough credit. Finally some people said enough and at least slowed them down. I think con-way was glad to see that recession hit because could you imagine if they had tried to pull all this when the economy was really good? Most drivers understood things they were doing for awhile, but when they strarted making money again and instead of giving back a little they just keep taking. The stock market is back to where it was before the recession hit. Once things are taken away they don't usually come back unless the economy really starts smokin and I don't think that's going to happen for awhile. We aren't in a normal business cycle downturn in my opinion, but you are right they seem to be "working with us" after Bruce M went on his tour and they put out there video

exactly i think they r working with us ... way to many slackers blame the evil company

Losing vacation is just garbage. This job requires all of your time. You need that down time to recharge. Stay focused and safe. Spend time with family that you never even see because you are working or sleeping. Even with them cheating you with that pathetic welfare check it is worth it. And it really upset people a lot.

I think you are giving way to much credit the half-ass effort in XGO. Maybe the company wants us to think that it is working with us.

oooh ,another genius,call your local and ask 1.if a contract can be bargained DOWN,2.when the current yrc contract is up if the 15% cut is still in effect 3.if you haven't heard drivers demand is WAY up and if you read transportation trade magazines drivers will be in huge demand and it's already being seen 4.get back to me when you have some knowledge as a side note even cnwy can't find enough drivers in atlanta,hagerstown,toledo,etc.

You ain't done nothing but talk. Show me something. And then maybe you can get credit for making a legitimate effort. Until then. This is half assed at best.

The guys down south seem to actually have a good gripe. You senior drivers in xco are just mad they took a few of your perks away. You would have a much stronger following if you actually had a good reason for all of this.

For the record, I have busted my ass on this. You don't have any clue how hard i've worked on this. I thought you and I have always gotten along since I came to XCO. Apparently that was just a show. I don't get why guys like you and bottomfdrking say "Good Morning" and smile at me when I see you in the breakroom and then you come on here and bash me. You have something to get off your chest. Fine. But i'm doing this outside of work. Not in the breakroom. Already been suspended once. Not going down that road again.

not bashing you or anything you have said or done, halfass effort comment was mainly directed at the lack of support you get. i usually never post unless i am drinking or angry or both.

Same as bottomking. I don't think you are half assed. I think this effort is half assed. You may be so involved that you cannot seperate them. I understand if you got upset by some of my comments. But I hear what people say when you aren't around. You get plenty of lip service to your face.

And as I reread my post it was poorly worded. You aren't a senior driver. Senior to me. But just about everyone is. I think that might have come out wrong.


While it is my intent to state and defend my opinions, it is not my intention to offend or upset anyone.
 
I say " good morning " to everyone and anyone regardless of time of day. Just being polite. Everyone deserves to be acknowledged and greeted. We should be capable of treating each other as men.


The exceptions are Jess and Mel. They are trying to get people fired for sexual harassment every other day. I do my best to never have to say anything to either of them. They are trouble. And troubling.
 
I know some of the things said behind my back. That's fine. The same guys who talk behind my back are the same ones who ***** and whine every single morning they come back from linehaul. Its not just the linehaul guys. There are a couple on days that think I don't know what they say. Most don't bother me, but some of you that I have considered friends have turned your backs just because of where I stand on this. I don't get why guys think I have some ulterior motive for doing this. Why can't it be that I just want something better for all of us? I get the "You're just angry because of what you lost" statement allot. I understand some of you are just glad to be employed somewhere. But I am better than that. We are better than that. We made this company what it is. Everyone here continues to make this company what is. They are making money hand over fist and continue to treat us like crap. I don't need to go into the specifics again. We have beat that horse to death on here. The same arguments over and over again. This may not go anywhere. I will keep trying to fight to get a voice for us as DSRs. We don't have one now.
