And Con-way made how much in the last quarter? OMG! bad economy? Yep for the working man....When will you non-union people see the real picture?

We make money inspite of Obama and his homeboy Ray Lahood. We make money because of good drivers and good management without union work rules to get in the way of productivity.

Here's the real picture; we're not operating under a pay cut, they're contributing to our retirement(without any money from us)...and we just got a raise..oh yeah, and we're getting a bonus check next week..so yeah, thanks for pointing that out for everybody..

No they aren't contributing to your retirement. The match never came back. Your raise isn't as much as the raise the union (including yrc) is getting april 1st. From what I'm reading that bonus check aint what you are making it up to be. So shall we discuss you having to pay for cutrate insurance? How much they gonna jack your premiums this year? I also love how conjob coined the term economically terminated, or working flex board guys just enough so they can't collect unemployment

3% of my pay every qtr. in my 401, with no contribution from me. Insurance not going up this year. the same 10.50/wk. I'm paying now. we're not operating under a 15% paycut. so, yeah we got it good. bonus about 800.00

I don't know anything about the unemployment stuff you are talking about..they're hiring in our area, we're working plenty at our place. And you can take that to the bank, with all my money I have in there..hahahahhaha

My mistake, they give me 4% of my pay every qtr. Its money that replaced the pension, for those of us whom were getting pension contributions. They just give us the money in the 401 instead. Not a match. There is no match. I don't put anything in that account.

And I don't get a DIME. Nothing's being contributed to MY 401. All I've got is a "hope" that they're going to come up with something for us in the 2nd quarter. Do you think that's going to be retroactive for the almost 2 years I've been here? Doubtful. All because I've not been here long enough. And at my place, we've got full-time regular drivers getting 20-25 hours a week and that's IT. And have been even before the winter slowdown. They string a guy along, maybe throw him a bone every once and a while, hoping he'll quit which saves them unemployment, or he stays so if one day they do actually need him for full-time, they don't have to spend money to hire someone else. Our inbound DSR's don't even hardly get 40/week. What's more, they hold you hostage on the flex board, never knowing when they'll need you, which makes getting a part-time job impossible. How long will this go on? The world may never know...

I was refering to the folks who used to get pension..you never had the pension.. as far as it being slow, different in parts of the country. It is slow season.

Looks as if this company does not value its younger employees.
What happened to the Team effort ?

Depends on where you are. Some spend 10 years on the flex board. Some 10 days. Every situation is different. You are free to work anywhere. That CDL belongs to you. Not your employer. If it is your choice to remain here. Under those conditions. You can only blame yourself. Instead of sitting around waiting on hope. Step up and improve your situation.

It's not about whether or not the company values its younger employees as all work is assigned by seniority. If the company worried about making sure everyone worked as much or as little as they wanted, they wouldn't be able to service our customers as well. The company puts men in tractors when and where they're needed, it's about making service.

You don't have to make excuses for our company to anyone, especially this joker

Doesn't sound like an excuse. It sounds like a fact you can't handle.

People that don't work for this company, post negative stuff, because they don't like how good we have it. They want to drag us down to their level. I'll never understand why somebody whom doesn't even work for this company, would post things about this company and its employees. I never go to another companies board and post negative things about the drivers there. That just goes to show that we must have it good. Happy posting everybody..

Believe me, I'm trying. I've got several irons in the fire right now trying to do something different. The situation as it stands isn't good for me or my family, and I'd like to move on without hard feelings. So that's exactly what I'm trying to do.
