I do remember conway almost lost its core customers.when the union outfits were on strike.conway was so overwhelmed by the freight that they had scabbed.they couldn't make service and damages were sky high.damages are sky high anyway..besides the point..grinning
Must be all that freight going on sub-service vans not equipped with SafeStack. I've got another question, do FOS's not have enough to do? I got a load terror report last night for a shipment I loaded the other day because it was stacked with no dunnage. IT CAME FROM THE CUSTOMER THAT WAY!!! I loaded it the way it was tendered! It didn't fall over, the freight wasn't damaged in any way, it just didn't have dunnage. WTF? If the customer is OK with it being stacked, then why on earth should I take it all apart and put dunnage between the skids, risking damage by further handling? That's fine, after we wasted 30 minutes of the company's time in "retraining" I'll just waste some more time and take it apart and put dunnage underneath it.
