If you do not have an outbound load from your origin you are put on the cut list. If you can not go out of route to another terminal to pick up a trailer you are cut for the night. All runs that have an empty inbalance gets a contract carrier from hub to the end of the line terminal. Hurray I am layed off again and may not even have a job after 6 years.

Same in the city, I'm a 90% with close to thirty drivers under me, but I'm basically on call. I haven't worked my budded start time in 2 weeks. Ups calls, sometimes within a few hours of getting off, told the 10 hour rule no longer applies, they can call as long as I start ten hours after I get off, and ups tells me when to start. Told the steward about it, he said they can change my bidded start time to what ever they need. Guess the 2 hour rule in the contract no longer applies. Dies that mean the contract no longer applies??? What's the purpose of a bid? If they don't follow it.
We are so slow that ups asked who wants a cc day, which is done by classification seniority, doesn't the contract say all vacation days are done by company time, guess that no longer applies. We gave 20-30 90%ers off every day, and none of the 10% board had worked since early august.
Last week we hired 5 more city drivers????? For what???
The rest of the drivers get 10-15 deliveries and 10-15 pic ups to try and make. I've givin up , I take my breaks and lunch, sometimes an hour, depending on the frustration. We continually have missed pu's and a lot of bring backs.
I will never understand the educated minds of our leaders.
More work with less people, higher profits!!! Greed greed money money
Have a nice day

that is pretty much word for word what our contract says they can do, there gonna keep doing it until we had enough, the company has to be able to remain competitive but there gonna keep cutting until they see us push back with a unified effort.

How's that Union thing working for you? Power? Unity? Brotherhood? I gotta stop I'm cracking myself up! 14 pages in the contract on how to get your job back after failing a drug test? Gotta love the priorities. That 1 person in Indy that said no is looking like a freakin' GENIUS about now.

^^^^^^ why do you even comment on it? Just let us "members" do all the heavy lifting for you. The true humor of it all is it's usually you Mooch/Free Loaders who ***** and cry the most. Unity and Brotherhood are two words guys like you should never use as you don't know the true definition of it.

I know why he comments about it. Because he was never supportive of this union from the onset. When we were here talking about the card check agreement and debating the pros and cons of becoming union members, he was an advocate of remaining at will employees. His opinions didn't resonate then, and they don't now. I can't even imagine how horrible working conditions would be here at UPSF without representation. There is no doubt that serious problems exist, but could you imagine the absence of a buffer? If you weigh this whole thing out, as a whole, we are much better off with Teamster representation. TE out....

This" union thing" as you refer to it as, is working out just fine. Shouldn't you have included yourself in that opening question? Why "you" instead of "us"? What are you doing to make things better with our "unity, power, brotherhood"? Maybe if you would get off your lazy ass, get involved, and quit degrading our union on message boards, things would be more palatable to you. Or maybe you are an office dweller and are gloating. Either way, I don't find it humorous or productive. TE out....

I work in Indy and I know that genius.

The union can go to hell for all I care.

Why don't you and your buddy Mooch Big Rig go work somewhere else then? Then you wouldn't have to come on a forum and whine about not getting your holiday pay, getting forced on a bid, and all the other things you complain about. I'd like to know how many of you guys that cry about this place are actually members of the Teamsters. There is sooooo much potential with UPSF and you guys don't even see it. UPS didn't get where they are by being nice guys, you all act like they owe you something. Elvis is right, if there was no Union here you wouldn't like it much. It's the #1 reason I came to work here.

Yeah, we are union and I still got screwed out of my holiday pay, and forced on a bid. Union did nothing for me. Go union!!!!!!!

Ive been peddling for Estes everyday and it is loaded much better than UPS Freight trailers ever are......Maybe its because their dock guys dont make $10 an hour.

Naw, people are thrilled to be working for UPSF. Hell getting $10 an hour now but look at what they will be making in 7 or 10 or so years. Who needs to pay bills now when the future is so bright? Good luck at Estes. Seriously.

Not being a smartass, but I honestly cant tell if youre being sarcastic or not. Those part timers top out at $15...Wow! And nobody knows what they will be making in 7-10 years as the contract ends in 2 years.

estes haha. we have not got a raise in three years. and dont believe the vid that came out and said maybe we can have oun in january. we drive junk down the highway. our terminals look like junk yards.
