A lot of people are questioning Les Miles for not putting in the back-up quarterback since Jefferson wasn't moving the ball successfully. I disagree with their thinking. The back-up had thrown for one touchdown and had thrown seven picks, so I wouldn't have put him in either. Jefferson is a good runner also, and the option wasn't working anyway. So I'm with Miles on that decision to leave him sitting. Plus, other than the mis-communication with the running back on that little shuffle pass that ended up getting picked, Jefferson hadn't made many big mistakes. Yes, he missed a few passes that could have been big plays, but I still wouldn't have pulled him.

Jefferson had two problems...He did not execute..And Bamas defense... I don't know that Lee would have done any better, but people who have never played the game, always question...Most of those player for LSU feel terrible right now..Because they feel they let the school down and the people of Louisiana...They'll pick their heads up and move on..They'll be just fine..The SEC and the State of Louisiana has more players in the NFL than any state or conference in the nation...That alone,is something to be proud of...

Congrats to Bama & their defense. The game could have sucked even worse.Imagine two Big 10 teams playing for the title...LOL. Hell of a season for both teams.

UPDATE : Bobby Hebert, Former Saints QB And Father Of LSU Player, Challenges Les Miles

Admit it -- if you are a Louisiana State football fan, you were pulling your hair out as quarterback Jordan Jefferson failed time and time again to move the chains in Monday's BCS Championship game. You would have loved to quiz head coach Les Miles about his gameplan and how he didn't at least give backup QB Jarrett Lee a chance.

Well someone in the media had the courage to do just that, and it just happened to be the father of an LSU player.

Bobby Hebert, a former NFL quarterback who hosts a New Orleans based radio show, challenged Miles to explain why he failed to bring in the backup quarterback or attempt to push the ball down field more.

The official transcript from the postgame interview room includes the full long rambling speech/question from Hebert, whose son, T-Bob, is a senior offensive lineman who was benched late in the year..............

I agree...But then again, Lee has not had good games against Bama...It's a crap shoot...You gotta let the Coach,Coach...He knows those players better than we do...Bobby tends to be a little overzellous at times...I understand his reasoning...And at that point, what did we have to lose, to change the QB...I feel it...Bama came to play..LSU didn't...Plain and simple...

When your 6 days are up I'd be proud to take your avatar .Let's face it there are college football teams all over the U S but nowhere do they take it as serious as we in the south do.

Les Miles is not known for making the right decision. He has made some mind boggling calls throughout his career but hey, he led them to the national championship and is probably sippin on some Crown counting his bonus cash right now

Les Miles set for big raise if LSU wins title
There’s a lot at stake in Monday night’s BCS National Championship game.

Especially for Les Miles.

The LSU coach will get a $5,880,000 bump in salary should his Tigers prevail over Nick Saban’s Alabama Crimson Tide.

It’s a tremendous bonus that is more lucrative because of Saban himself and it’s the second time Miles would benefit from Saban’s high salary. When LSU won the BCS National Championship after the 2007 season, Miles received one of the biggest bonuses in coaching history: $11,586,000.
