WOW! just saw the announcement that we are getting 2.5% increase starting April 1.....wow, thanks for the movie ticket.....

If 2.5% is real. I am thrilled. Amounts to about $2000.00 a year for me.

Supposed to be hourly. What about mileage? If its just 2.5% hourly I'll be quite disappointed. Inflation grows at roughly 3% per year and we just keep falling further behind. WOW!
 
WOW 2.5% is that sharing with the workers? Do you think low pay and NO OVERTIME is why OD makes so much money?
 
Yes, it's not alot, but it's the most we've gotten in the past 19 years. Think positive. It makes ur time here more enjoyable.

If you don't want it, I can PM you with my employee number and they can put it on my check, that would be 5 percent for me and none for you. I call that a win/win. I get more money and you still have a reason to complain about the company.

Seriously! Be happy you're getting anything at all considering what has been taken from us in the past and how long its been since we got a "raise" (not talking about the 5% we got back they took from us). Don't like it, quit and go elsewhere.

And you're surprised why? Come on, this company's got too many other things to worry about than to give it's hard working DSRs a bone. Gotta keep working on figuring out ways to waste money so we only end up with a 97% operating ratio while other carriers haul our freight and OD makes 86% ratio and hauls all it's own freight.

No, we had a substantial raise back in about '01. it was 4%. With all that has went on, I don't see why it's only 2.5%...There must be another catch. We'll find out monday.
 
You guys sound like Con-way's version of SS soldiers!! "Just be happy you got anything" and such. I'm shaking my head in amazement. This company goes through a huge positive financial turn around in 1 year all because of OUR hard work, and 2.5% is all we get? If I'm doing my math right at my current rate of pay that comes up to $.48/hr. In an 8 hour shift that comes to an additional $3.84/day. That won't even buy a Big Mac extra value meal. Take how much the cost of gasoline has gone up in the past 4 years that this company's not given it's drivers a raise and it doesn't even come close to paying the difference in what you're spending alone on gas just to get to work.

Has anyone seen their full-year bonus yet? Mine still says thru-third qtr. It's supposed to be posted after the numbers were posted..
