Yellow | YRC April 2012 COO Has Been Canceled Until Furthur Notice

You're probably going to get pi**ed at what I'm going to say, but I'll say it anyway. You're absolutely correct about pettiness here but it also applies to the guy who refuses to wear his ID the way he is told to. Talk about asking for trouble! What a stupid issue to get into a jam over. Wear the damn ID like you're supposed to and don't ask for trouble over such a moronic thing! Fight or challenge issues when they are about something meaningful and not over crap like this. Talk about people shooting themselves in the foot!
Man I hate it when you do like that. :order: Also hate to admit your right.

If Hoffa is responsible for replacing TJ , then , knowing what a stinking pile of S#@$ Hoffa is , my guess is that TJ was really POed and playing hardball with the company over this. Since Hoffa , once again as we know is a steaming dungheap , wants to please YRC , he probably replaced TJ with a more amiable yes man to acquiesce to the companies wishes. We will know for sure if when the change comes back out it pretty much looks like the change that was just cancelled.
I am know friend of T J. But, Maybe he was burned out and he was not at the top of his game anymore. He might have said, I've had it and I can't take it anymore. So, Hoffa took him off. I would like to think that then anything else. It may have thrown YRC off base by doing this, which I think is a good thing.

Without getting a reason for the cancellation all we can do is wonder why the Company cancelled. I just wonder if The Union pointed out they would be basically ****** Article 32 to do the change. I just hope our "Banking Overlords" are taking notice of the inept management this company is operating under. Maybe they can find someone that can actually operate a freight company in todays marketplace without having to dismantle the whole operation and start over like Welch was proposing!

I like how you are worried about article 32 now but when YRC started in the next day freight and took freight from Holland you weren't crying for them to follow work

No, not upset. Just sad because you sound like a "yes" man. My questionable response to one of your last comments, IS, such a simple answer for a complex issue. Look it up. As for the badge issue, it wasn't myself BUT picture this scenario. I clip my badge to my shirt pocket each night. Later on in the night, I grab a jacket because it is cold. Of course, my badge is covered now. BUT THE SUPERVISOR DOESN'T BOTHER ME! Why? First, because I don't go along with their BS. Second, I remind him, we are here for one reason only, which is, to make money. Bottom line. The company doesn't make a profit= closed doors later on. Third, are my words of wisdom which is do not worry about issues which you cannot control and focus on those issues you can. My opinion is "the company doesn't wish to become profitable." Managements main focus today is about control/intimidation. Whether it be right or wrong. This is my 4th barn while working for REX/YRC. My "new" supervisors believe they can change the world of YRC. They do more harm than good. Thank You TB for giving me the opportunity to educate/vent.

Aw, you found me out. And here's more proof of how much of a "yes" man I am. Read this post: http://www.truckingboards.com/forum...-work-14-hrs-yard-yesterday-5.html#post912524

Nothing you've said here changes my opinion that the guy not wearing his badge is just asking for trouble over a petty, stupid issue. There are many more serious issues to contest.

1) I read that post the day it was posted. I always try to help out the junior Teamster with their questions. Hand out advice. The main problem is none of them follow through. Employees with 6-30 years whom have never filed one grievance.
2) I used sarcasm in a comment about you running against Obama in the next election.
3) What might be those more serious issues to contest? Give me some ideas to keep management on their toes.
4) Thanks.

Good point, certainly agree with you there. Too many complain, too few take action.

OK on that, thanks for the clarification.

That's for people in each location to figure out in their own environment. Different supplements, different work rules, etc. No one answer for everybody.

Ok. What do YOU consider a serious issue in YOUR location?

Good point, certainly agree with you there. Too many complain, too few take action.

SORRY. Can I charge the room to YRC Freight?

He keeps on "wandering" around the issue.

I WOULD APPRECIATE THE "KNOWLEDGE" OF WHAT SERIOUS ISSUES FACE OUR BROTHER TEAMSTERS AT OTHER BARNS!

Would any other TEAMSTERS wish to elaborate on "SERIOUS" major, I assume, contract violations?

No petty BS. I need some education now!

Why don't you guys get a motel room ?!

Big money says hold up just a minute here!

YRC can't produce anything that looks like a profit, and their new guy Rogers is wanting to spend money on new paint, signage and a huge COO. The banks said hold on! Only the regional carriers, Holland, New Penn, Reddaway, and Reimer can show a profit, but if they close YRC, those regional drivers will possibly snap back to full NMFA wages and benefits. You take the regional (utility) operation out of YRC in the COO, and it loses more money, because it drops at least 8 to 10 thousand bills a day. The investors are trying to figure out how to keep Holland, New Penn, Reddaway, and Reimer open at the current wage concessions, and dump YRC. They sold the USF Glen Moore truckload division to Celadon, but they were not Teamsters. It will be complicated, and require the Union and members to cooperate. Tyson Johnson don't have time for all that, he has a new contract with ABF to negotiate, and UPS is coming up to. The YRC circus has been handed over to Sweeney by default. There is no conspiracy in the IBT, and the company runs freight around hubs all the time. One mad local didn't stop this COO, the investors did. Too costly, and no money to pay for it, and they ain't gonna loan them no more! So glad I got hired at ABF in July and got away from YRC. Good luck guys, but it isn't looking so good, with no earnings, I mean losses, posted for the 4th quarter yet. There is a word for it, when you owe more than you make, it's bankrupt. Then the BANK (investors) own you, and they call the shots. But, there is so much big money tied up in this deal they are going to bleed it all they possibly can before letting the gavel fall and putting it on the auction block. If you senior guys over there are still getting all that OT to keep the junior guys laid off, so they don't have to pay their benefits, SAVE some money, you're probably gonna need it real soon!

My humble opinion. Right now I'm a pundit, comes to pass I may be called a prophet

The COO HEARING has now been rescheduled for 3/14 - 3/15/12 in Kansas City, MO......KK

Most likely a dumb question.....Is there a new Document coming or are they working off what we all ready have?
Good Question. And I see that the change is being heard in Gordon Sweeton's area. That I feel is also a good sign. I just hope that the yrc Teamsters get a fair shake and that they benefit from this change in the chairman position. Let's see what the big differences will be. Good Luck yrc Teamsters. YOUR BROTHER ALWAYS!
