They held meeting yesterday at 857 with company pretty much same old stuff couldn't tell us what freight was going where, They pretty much agreed that this is not a follow your frieght. Also the rumors of a slowdown in columbus were not true was started by labor man bob j, which was proven to be false. they have already started to run around col (857) local 413 was all over this thank god now the IBT needs to wake up and make YRC fix this coo.

Sounds like the order to run around Columbus is from the labor dick J. I read the letters while in Columbus. I loved the response from Local 413. If someone could post it, it would give hope that the union is watching out for it's members.

Hang on yrc Brothers i think you will be seeing why the change was stopped. I have talked with jeff and he trying to confirm a possible very important change. Keep your fingers crossed!

Come on YRC lies each time they talk to the Teamsters. First Yellow buys RoadWay and tell the Teamsters we will never merge them and they do. Then ask for 10% back thats all and then 5% more and our retirement thats all and on and on. Teamsters need to tell them stick it where the sun never shines. It's time to grow some BALLS.

It's funny how someone is always telling someone else to grow some balls. What's wrong with growing your own and leading the fight?

The Piper will always come to call... You take a terminal like Columbus Ohio, Who has busted Butt to make it come to life after a terrible fall a few years back. Who has posted good numbers through out its entire operation and kick them in the gut once more.. Obviously , it is not about good performance,not about integrity, and at this point not even about survival. This is proof in the package.. Gloom awaits on the wings of the bats.. The once known and respected Trucking companies, Yellow Frieght and Roadway Express are a shadow in the mirrors of many saddend eyes.It is just a matter of time before the pockets of some reap all of the rewards. Sad... So very Sad..
 
My only question about the change is EOL road drivers that have scheduled start times (hrs available) being cancelled? Is our goal, service important? Or do we wait for avaiable drivers coming out of bed? (at what time) I understand National losing money on REGIONAL that's not our thing. NEW PENN,HOLLAND, REDDAWAY do it BEST! I undersand getting rid of Utility and giving Velocity back to Breaks but why Bed Jobs? Just wondering I work at EOL off Road now PD is my thing.
 
I think we don't trust the company.we have seen changes of operations in the past.since the merge and purge.I think we have seen plenty of this stuff.then turn around and have to pay for it.paycuts.plus watch our jobs disappear.even da man said we are heading in a positive direction.customers have been giving positive feedbacks.our tonnage has picked up.so what gives.
 
There are a few things I would change for right in the interim.Mr.Welch has been cutting management jobs.we were and maybe still too top heavy in management.I would probably change our computer software.lease an upgrade.or however that procedure works.I don't see why we can't handle whatever freight we garner.with the right tools in place.software,management,labor.we can do it.afterall,Roadway and Yellow used to do time shipments quite well.now that we are together.you would think YRC Freight could do it even better.

Goes to show the real truth. Management will not, and has never really listened to its people who are the true glue of the company. Makes you want to just scream at the stupidity. OR is this what they wanted to accomplish all along. ????
 
What gives is rates are low, freight is up and we are still losing MONEY. We gave back years ago and we are still in the RED! You can work your can off and go out of business too! Tonnage going up and positive feedback from customers all because we haul it cheaper then our competition and we lose money doing it.
 
Rates are low everywhere.we can't afford to divert freight to the likes of Austin Ventures and meridian iq global.not to mention how our Chinese companies are doing.these are some the new start ups for yrcw.thought we didn't have money
 
Heck,they can run freight around just about any terminal.they do this to 511/irving tx anytime they want.

I guess they could run freight through each and every terminal and let everyone touch the freight (like they do with sports teams touching the trophy when they win) and that way the freight will take a month to go from coast to coast but at least everyone will be happy. :biglaugh:

Yes they do have the MONEY...Our 15%, Our Vacation week, and our Backs.. and so much more. If YRCW wants to give our freight to Holland and New Penn and Non-Union ( REDDWAY ) I believe it is time to have a strike and go under with a bang.. We are going under. !
