Back in the day a Teamster contract was agreed on by union members & employer.
Every article written in stone, nothing left to anyones imagination.
Whenever a TM wanted to see how far they could go to bend the rules.
It was always up to our union rep's to hold their feet to the fire,to make sure the letter of the contract was followed.
Funny how the monetary fines always got their attention,in other words money talks.
The thing is with any contract not just with unions,if the representatives allow an article to be compromised.
A precedence is set,and that issue will be lost forever.
Alrighty then the reason dues are being deducted from members.
Is for good representation to keep everything on the up & up.
Well anywho that was how things were when I was still a dues payer, don't know why anything should have changed at present?
