We definitely need a contract with stronger language.
I'm not sure who they choose to negotiate, possibly some very strong Stewards to help negotiate the next contract and gear it for the newbies and everyday worker with years and years left until retirement. This has to be transparent for all of us to be in the know.
Not some BA telling us in our first vote, "It's a good contract just vote" and later on recanting....."Well it's not the best contract but it's a first contract" They got members now, they need to step up.
This next contract also has to be proofread with all the different scenarios taken into account. (Hence using strong stewards)
We don't need half the contract talking about drug testing.
We all know we are randomly tested and know the consequences. You test positive you lose, go into the EAP program. Test positive again, your out.
No more contract paper filling fluff.
