Today the 211 terminal manager held meetings with each shift called "YRC Employee Business Review" via a powerpoint presentation! The 4th quarter 2010 financial and operating results were discussed along with the end of the year results. Also discussed were the individual terminal financial and operating results. Things like operating ratio, average daily shipment counts, net revenue, costs, productivity, claims ratios, etc..were explained in the presentation. Comments and questions followed the approx. 30 minute meetings. The terminal manager explained that this was rolled out by the top execs at the General Office who want to keep the employees in the field "informed"! Watch for it soon at your barn!:stirthepot:

Didn't Joe talk about innovation with technology, yet? Don't worry, I'm sure everyone will be "informed" about that in April.

They all know what the O/R is. Management sees it at least weekly. If they no longer do, things are worse than I thought.

You are correct. They always know what the O/R is. And if they won't tell you what it is.....the number obviously is horrible, and they don't want the conversation to turn negative.
