Our insurance sucks. They dictate to the doctors what test they believe you deserve or do not deserve and what they will or will NOT pay for... I dont believe that someone fighting for thier life should have to fight thier insurance at the same time..... For those out there in con-way world that believe you have good insurance just wait till you really really need it.....
 
I go to whatever doctor I want to and have never had a problem with our insurance.Never hear from them and I never contact them.Works for me.
 
i gotta say i've never had a problem with the insurance ( except the cost ) have been to the ER several times over the years, been told by my family DR. to see different specialists, just checked with ins. first to see who was in network and everything went smooth. i've never been told i could not have or did not need a certain test or procedure, same with other family members.

What life threatening illness do you have? Like the other guy said..no problems with cigna. Tell in case we have the same problem.

You are so right! I'm currently tangled up with them and they are vehemently denying coverage for a major surgery. Multiple doctors all agree that surgery is the only thing that will correct the problem yet they continue to deny for various reasons. Cigna and HR are both stonewalling and appear to work as a team. Don't wear out your back or catch some horrible disease because you may find your insurance severely lacking. They should be ashamed of themselves.
 
I know people here in LDA who have had the Lapband surgery. Our insurance paid for them. I have not had any problems, yet.
 
Lap band is what around 10k? What I need is well into 6 figures. Denied and it still keeps coming out of my pay. Sweet!

They paid for the gastric bypass that I had and that was around 70k.
 
I'm sorry but I won't disclose much about this. I'm totally paranoid of Conway now. It's not a good feeling when you're pretty much shut out and see just how expendable you really are. I feel Cigna is dealing with me in bad faith and have caught them flat out lying to me about the appeals process. HR seems as if they couldn't care less. The local HR guys answers to everything is call Portland. The "specialists" in Portland tell me they will look into it and let me know but I rarely here back from them. When I do get a return call it's like I'm speaking with a representative from Cigna. I think I see the writing on the wall. Disclaimer: I post here for entertainment purposes only. I to had a serious injury at home and had nothing but problems with cigna never could get help from anybody I finally switched to kaisr and have no problems so much better dealing with doctors and not some tie person who is perfectly healthyexcept maybe a staple cut
 
Wait till you have a panel of government bureaucrats telling you what you can or can not have. And you will still be paying for that.

My wife and I have no problem with Cigna, they have taken care of us all these years, yes the premuims we pay and the deductables are a hard pill to swollow.But You do have a choice to opt out. I would maybe,"just maybe" shop around and purchase some on your own. And again with that being said, let's get to trucking in our air conditioned Cascadias. They are cold huh?
