Lets make a big thread for all potential new co-workers to read about the benefits and drawbacks about working here.

What do you Love about working here? What do you Hate about working here?
 
Love: the pay, good people to work with.

Hate: the lack of security or peace of mind in regards to whether I will have a job from day to day.
 
Love my paycheck, usually.
Love the memories of what it used to be.
Dislike my local uppermanagement team.
Hate what has happened to this company.
Hate the term hub discretion.
 
I enjoy the camaraderie with my fellow drivers, the part time office staff and shop guys.
I absolutely HATE the secrecy, the deception, the disregard and disrespect coming from management.
I hate that they make taking time off almost impossible, if it were up to the company, we would work 24/7 like robots!!
My pay is decent. Can't complain much over that.

Likes- Pay, Benefits.

Dislikes- The lack of security or peace of mind in regards to whether I will have a job from day to day.

To potential new hires. Even though you love your job at FXF and set out every day and give 100% in regards to... Safety, attitude, pick-ups, deliveries, proper paperwork, pretrips, post-trips, and following all the policies put in place. You're most likely going to come up short a time or two and that is enough to get you fired. Of course this all depends on your local management.
 
I absolutely love my job. I'm retired from Fedex Freight. Uncle Freddy sends me his love the first of the month. That's the good news.

Things I think could be done to improved the company: Communication is a big issue. Harrison has taken the stand that no news is good news. Employees feel insecure when they don't know in which direction the company is heading, and this effects their work. Customer Service: Our on time percentage is an unknown factor, and FXF thinks they have solved the problem with economy and expedite freight. All they have actually done is confuse the customer. FXF tried to put YRC out of business with cheap freight, and that didn't work.

I think wages and benefits are up to industry standards, but I would like to see better training for middle management, and training for dock workers who want to advance into driving. I would like to see more runs for line haul, but that's not going to happen until we go back to Customer Service. Just my thoughts, I could be wrong. TP
 
I like the pay, all the new equipment, great co-workers and friends. I hate everybody in the saftey department exept for 2 people, I hate the uniforms, I hate the people who have an I dont care attitude, I hate these new intermecs, and I hate the term "I'll look into it for you".
 
I left a couple of months ago, and now I have the same job as twice pipes.
While I was there:
Best thing was the pay and for the most part the people were good..
Worse thing was taking care of customers is no longer priority #1
 
I've quit better jobs, soon I will this one also.
same **** different truck is pretty much it here. end of line centers you are at the mercy of the hubs and whatever BS is blown up your arse by local "leadership"
head down and "yes sir" you will be fine
 
Like the security of working for a major company. Like being non-union, Like all my co-workers, Like the benefits, Like not working at one of the major hubs.
Do not like the upper management attitudes and policies ie. 15 minutes to make deliveries , pickups, 24 minutes to pre trip, secure load , grab hand truck, pallet, close trailer door, log on to hand held, sequence stops in order, etc etc etc.
 
My Job & The Drivers I Work With Are Great All That Needs To Happen Is The Management Get Their Heads Out Of The Brown eye And Wake Up. My God This Job Was A lot Of Fun. How Can A Red Shirt Tell Me How To My Job When They Don't Even Know What We Go Threw On A Daily Basis. Just Remember Boys & Girls It's All About The Purple Promise
 
I like the way the uniform pants make my butt look.The pay, benefits and some of the guys on my yard.Hate the fact that your hire date means nothing.Hate their transfer policy or should I say ever changing policies.:hysterical:

Absolutely Hate : the politics, favoritism, being lied to, and treated like you don't know what your doing, backstabbers, people whom try to get fellow workers in trouble ( you know who you are) to further their own agenda/move on up......hmmmm well that pretty much says it all....have a great day now.

Funny part is there is nowhere for these snitching a-holes to move up to.
