FedEx Freight | What do you Love about working here? What do you Hate about working here?

I love the job, the people I work with, even management at my yard. Love the benefits, pay, and security. Hate that Company senority doesnt rule on bidding vacation or bidding in general. Wish we would still goto one board. Cant complain at all though, wouldnt want to work at any other trucking company.

I enjoy just about everything, except 1) when everyone asks where you going or where have you been, to check and see if they can file for a mileage claim. If you don't like your bid, deal with it until next bid. 2) The tractors going to a bid instead of a driver, nothing like going from an ass free tractor to an ash, ass, and coffee dump, shared by every ***** in the center. I can't believe how the equipment is treated, if you wouldn't do it in/to your personal vehicle, why do it here? Respect the other drivers who have work here too, leave it cleaner than you received it, within reason. Unless your Mother works here, please clean up after yourselves. 3) Sharing your ride with a city driver who drives with their gloves on eating Wendy's, and putting their GPS mark on every square inch of the windshield, driving over 300 miles without fueling- they have no problem fueling in the morning, burning up every p.m. road driver's 15 mins., waiting while they put in their 20 gallons... don't bother fueling, please, there's still over 120 usuable gallons of fuel left. One more, I'm driving a 7000 series, w/800,000 miles, 150-350 miles a day and the city driver is in a 13000 series, in the city lucky doing 65 to 120 miles. Anything else?

Funny part is there is nowhere for these snitching a-holes to move up to.
usually tryin to move to a better run aka daylight. sorta like the old addage of the monkeys on a ladder...ppl at the top look down and see smilin faces and the ones at the bottom look up and see nothin but.arseholes...

I like my friends I distrust the red shirtsand I agree with critter the managers have no clue what we put up with day today because of the stupidity

I love the tractors, hate the older trailers; the redshirts at my yard are decent. The drivers at my yard are great, with twenty % exception. Couple of whiners that are unhappy about all things not Viking, and one who's just senile. <<<Needs to be in a funny farm for crazy ****'s. <<<That idiot threatened to spank a female employee the other day! Claimed he was going to pull her pants down first!!! If I said that, I'd get canned!!! He needs to be locked up!!!!!

I like not wearing underwear to work....

RC would NOT be amused.

If you are not wearing the appropriate thong?!!!...you don't exist!

The posters on this illustrious and respectable forum have standards.:Rulz:

This 'no underwear' mentality you are pursuing will NOT BE TOLERATED on TB...

We have standards ...in the future you are advised to conform to the 'dress code' established by RC.

Consider this post a warning...you are officially on probation!!!!
A word to the wise....DON"T SCREW IT UP!!!!! :biglaugh:

YIKES!!!! So how is it decided who gets to take which vacation week or days first?

I have to laff at this 'one board' thing...the only peeps who want it are those who would benefit the most from it.

The ones I am referring to are those in the top 10%-15% of any seniority board.

They made their money on the road...and now that life has changed they want to kick sand into the faces of those that chose the city...just so they can have what they want.

I have no sympathy for any of it...you chose the road...live with it.

Just because your life situation has changed there is no call to disrupt the lives of others.

I hear this **** all the time...and always comes from road drivers...wanting to have things 'their' way.

Not caring who they step on...their only claim to fame is their seniority and crying like little girls due to the fact the one board thing hasn't happened.

I worked a 'one seniority' board for ten years...and it sucked every bid.

You bozo's who think you want this have no idea how it works...remember...it can go either way...and usually not to the satisfaction of the bottom 85%.

Anybody that thinks city is a cake walk you can have it.....
All you do is get treated like a slave or crap by pissed off customers that have damaged or short frt , then talk about being abused by the food warehouses that we should not even deliver to.

Back when the west was a real freight company....it was the city guys pushing the one board thing. They wanted to go linehaul when they got older. Now I hear more of the one board thing from the old Watkins drivers that have tons of company time but no road time because company road drivers is a comparatively new thing. They went from big fish in their pond to minnows in the new pond.

This is true in every way.
The latest addition for us has been "mandatory" for city drivers to break one load at end of day.
I dont mind it if you bring me in on 8 hours, but work me 10 and still expect it and nas250 is no longer an "engaged employee".
It must have been a long week because I am also referring to myself in the 3rd party.
By the way this has occured since the latest plan went into effect.

Its been a very long time since I was in the city .... I have not forgotten those food warehouses .. inventory every single box ...

Food warehouses can go straight to hell !

It was 100 the other day and me (#7 city driver ) was given U.S. Foods (complete a-holes) 3 skids @ 5000 lbs. You are not aloud to use the electric
pallet jacks so you will have to take them off with a regular jack on a dangerously slippery dock plate not to mention the sheer weight . The Red Shirts
could give a crap about the driver and know the abuse we are subject to but it's just a joke to them f-ing a-holes. I was at my 11:00 appointment at
10:50 then told it would be 11:30 before I could get a door. (Note I busted my ass to be there 10 min early.) Then It's a 100 in my town so who the hell
brings a coat to work , I spent 1.5 hrs in a 38 degree cooler sorting and seg the s h i t this a-hols ordered. I was frozen and could not hear out of my f-ing
erars all week. So step up you Road Drivers any time you f-ing want my job G - damn job you got it a-holes it...............
