Estes | What do you Love about working here? What do you Hate about working here?

When I get something that is gonna get me around 640 miles for the night, then pick go out hook up only to find that I have a very low tire on my back PUP about 40 pounds psi, and notice that trailer has been pulled through 2 other teminals before I pick it up. No one around to fix it I don't have enough time to wait 14 hour rule, then call central back and then get put on break, so because of two other drivers I end up with 410 miles for the day instead of 640, a hammer is good to check tires!! Anyway I hate taken pay cuts!!!

Should have took it to the first truckstop, aired it up and mashed on it.

I carry my own air hose (have for years). Especially with all the weekends I run. Most of the time the bead isn't broken and the tire still has the same pressure when I drop it.

worked at Con-way for 17 years, this place is great compared to that. Only been here 2 months but can really find nothing bad about it.
Love the fact that it is much more laid back and I'm treated better even though I'm new to the company.

just drove 327 miles with 5 hours left and they put me to bed. bs!

The fact we as a team sat for 4.5 hours in 041 to go 259 miles up the road but CRST and covenant and dome Arab dude that font work goes to phoenix, Sacramento and Riverside...slap in my face. A lot of us teams are getting short hopped like hell and having to dig like crazy to just get 5000 miles

Dammit driver, howd'ja give up all that great Con-job seniority?? LOL I've only been with 'em 2 1/2 and I'm looking for every opportunity for the door. Stars haven't aligned yet, but we're working on it!

I don't know Marvin but Will is da man. He always ran me hard. He's the reason I'm semi retired now and damaging my liver every night. Jim also is a good one

Maybe you know nctruckdriver....has the bunk at Charlotte been permanantly shut down ?

they definitely need to, but no rjj, it's still open. It was shut down couple months back, all they did was put 2 new shower stalls, I wouldn't know because I always go to the suburban around the corner (it's only $34)

Thanx, had heard it was shut down...must have been when you say. I'm not gonna get to bent out of shape either way, as either way I'm going to the microtell or the suburban

If you guys are going to a motel on your dime instead of staying in the bunkhouse, wouldn't that clue that terminal in? That it sucks? I would think they would close it or make it more inviting.
