TForce | Ups package has asked for permission to strike

Contractors are the number one issue.
Starting wage for new drivers is a close 2nd. We cannot get qualified drivers to work for us at 15.05/hr in our area.
The way they do the vacation. They tell us that it is 10 percent of the estimated drivers that should be working, even though we can prove that we are using all 33 full time drivers every day of the week, and we have 2 people on vacation per day per week.

Those are the main three items we have in our area.

I am one of those at 15.05 i took a $3.50h paycut to come aboard. But i am looking down the road. Cuz i will be making more then i could have at my last gig. @7oakacre the wording is tricky

We don't have the option , it's in the contract that we CAN'T strike. For any reason. Guess the union doesn't want any interruption in collecting dues.

Article 38
Union and Company Cooperation

Section 2. Work Stoppages
All grievances and/or questions of interpretation arising under the provisions of this Agreement shall be submitted to the grievance procedure for determination. Accordingly, no work stoppage, slowdown, walkout or lockout over such grievances and/or questions of interpretation shall be deemed to be permitted.
this is in context of grievances, if they don't come to terms on a new contract and the current contract expires everything in the contract become null and void unless the union votes to continue working under the old contract till a new deal is reached.
so come july or when ever the current deal expires, if the union and upsf cant come to agreement on a new deal we absolutely can strike.
