Estes | Why does chicago go by their own rules? Shouldn't every terminal have same policy?

Line haul driver calls for extra work, told there's nothing.
But there's 10 city drivers doing Toledo turns. One of the City dispatcher is doing a toledo turn also. What the hell is that? Special rules again.
What's the point having a seniority board, mandatory work day, line haul operation or company policy if there's no rules in chicago.
Since Chicago goes by their own rules depending on who you are. Wouldn't be easier just to post something on the wall who pays attention to what rules and who don't. There would be less confusion.

I heard about it 6 years ago. I wondered what happened to the other Tim.

If Estes had 400 terminals, there would be 400 different companies.....

Signed up for extra work two weeks ago they gave loads away to p&d drivers who just called in...Sunday they called and asked if I would run told them no way...not unless they start correcting the problem with who is to go out first. If we were to come in early and do city pick ups they would be livid that we are stealing hours from them. I think it is only fair you go by sign up sheet/volunteer linehaul first, p&d gets what ever is left. If they don't like it make them mandatory on weekends also.

city drivers can have all the loads they want on the weekend!!!why work allday for a half of days pay! most of it goes to the welfare system!!

They can have all the loads...just quit telling me I have to work once a month or asking me to sign up and especially don't call me Sunday afternoon and tell me you got a hot load.

I reckon I'm just spoiled running out of a terminal that has 600 mile turns or laydowns located in any direction all weekend long.

It would be to easy for every terminal to do the same thing, but hell this place has some screwed up policies anyway!

no 2 terminals operate the same... from drivers to office personell. supposed to be a "dress code" for all dock supv. hahahaha guy in boston ma. wears ripped t-shirts and fed ex shorts! they had the dock supv. in worcester (121) makin the appointments! he has quit since then..... place has gone to crap, that guy knew his stuff! good for him! you can always go to 170 and work for the biggest a-hole kiss a@@ estes has! have another donut!
