North Knoxville train overpass snags beer truck

It doesn't matter how many low clearance signs you post. Some idiot will always think their 13'6" high truck/trailer can fit under a 10' overhang.

I know my truck will get under a 12, but I still watch my roof and tick 4-wheelers off by creeping at 15mph under a bridge that would destroy a van.

I bet he made the mistake they all do, floor it hoping it will magically come out without a dent.

My truck could fit under a 12, but not the trailer. Our tractors are 11'8" tall, and our tallest trailers are 12'6" tall.

Mines about that same height, maybe shorter. The only loads I've pulled that are taller than the cab are pipe or lumber, the the rare oversize specials we get once in a blue moon.

^ They'll do anything to squeeze a dime off us. But, he should have read the signs. It amazes me, they can read Playboy, the number for their company, log books, the company name of the truck they just tore the hood off off, AND the exit that points them to their dollars. But not height signs... we sure he had a CDL?

In other news, the height of my trucks changes since they mess with the air ride every chance they get.

If I let the air out of the tires, the trailer MIGHT fit under a 12.
