Hey folks,

I was wondering if anyone had any info on grocery throwing out in the bay area (sysco, us foodservice, etc). We are relocating out that way from Chicago. I know it is slim pickins in most driving positions in that area, but I thought someone might have some guidance on where would be a good place to start looking. Thanks :)

A buddy I work with worked for Coke out there, they are big time union, he made good money there, thats all I know. Around here Coke pays dick, Pepsi is the place to be in beverage, this is Oklahoma, out there its the opposite.

I was looking to get into food service. You think beverage is better than straight out grocery throwing? If I am going to move and have to change jobs, I wanted something that was more active to stop from becoming a fat ass.

great advice I appreciate it. I have most of the major food distributors plotted out on Google Maps. When I move out there hopefully some of the offers will still stand. The problem is the cost of living is high and our industry doesn't keep up very well in that area. We shall see.

Class A Delivery Driver Jobs in Fremont, California - Sysco San Francisco

^^There's a start for ya.. Sounds like a good deal by the ad but it's a long way from my neck of the woods so I wouldn't know anything about it personally. I know US Foods here in Milwaukee is a great place to work but it's hard as all hell to get hired there...

Who do you work for now if you dont mind me asking?

I do intermodal and drayage for a mostly OTR company called AN Webber. There is little else within an easy commute. So I am stuck with them for now.
