Look out all you drivers in Col. and Wa. they just legalized mary jane out there, you may find some real happy drivers on the road soon!!

Only one problem it's still against federal law. Not sure what that will mean for them. does that mean we can be found with pot in our system in Col and WA and not be fired. It was just a contact high officer!!! LOL

I saw a program once where they were talking about legalizing pot. They were saying that yes you could still be fired because you can still make it against the company policy. Now if the state were to make it illegal to fire someone for using pot then no you couldn't fired. It was just a hypothetic type of program but none the less it still made sense.

And yes it's still against the federal law but a governor could simply ban all state and local law enforcement from enforcing federal law. Yes there would still be federal agencies that could enforce but they are simply out numbered and to busy running guns to Mexico.

This is the beginning of a much bigger problem in our country. It's called a lack or morality and where will it stop.

May have to go to COL on vacation...:shift:

I think pot should be legalized. But I think like alcohol, it should be a crime if under the influence while operating a motor vehicle. Would I smoke pot if legalized? Hell yea! Why not? It's from the earth.

At one point I would have smoked it too but after two lung surgeries this year I think not. Unless I have to go on chemo again then it might be nice. They say it helps with the side affects of the chemo.

The hard part for people that would like to have it now and then to chill out is if they find it in your urine at work you might lose your job. Not sure how all that will come down...

Hope I'm still alive to see that happen. War on drugs is an abismal failure except for the law enforcement guys employed because of it.

Many people have gotten rich off the "war on drugs" many have also died. Now I do think pot should be legal but the other hard drugs should remain illegal.Private Prisons - Recent Court Cases, Issues and Articles | American Civil Liberties Union
