Yellow | Teamsters Say No To Right-To-Work (For Less)!

Republicans outnumber dems in the Michigan House and Senate. I believe they rammed the bill thru. It will be the law of the land. It will affect the UAW and Caterpillar's unions but the teamsters are getting hit in non RTW states. The teamster union will be alive and well in RTW states protecting jobs and wages the best they could

First, I don't know all the details, BUT when RTW passed at my Son's USAF Base (Federal Employees Union) in Indiana- 184 of the 200 Federal Employees (not the Airmen) dropped out of the union; they didn't want it at all. Now, a year later, the UAW is talking to them, and many are listening.

People that are FORCED to join unions detest them. People that see a need for a union that offers them a better life sometimes look forward to joining one. Lesson is: Competition always works to bring in the best. Even Unions need to work on providing the best, or they fade away....

Unions can survive in a RTW state. They just have to learn to sell their product better

At the moment I see this going through tomorrow. UAW just give up their new hires to large concessions and I think it will be very interesting on the reaction there when those New Hires no longer have to pay for the privilege. Krogers and Meijers are just a couple of contracts that I expect that may not be worth the dues to a lot of their members. The Cops and Firemen will be exempt so they don't care. Teachers??? Bunch of Women scorned by Schnyder and I think they will not only pay the dues no questions, their political action fund will be flush with cash. Most of the political analyst are trying to put a good face on it but are worried there won't be another Republican in Michigan for years to come. Me? All of a sudden I'm getting Emails and phone calls from the IBT, hell I thought they forgot about me since I retired.

Now you're talking public unions. (Federal Employees Union) Wisconsin public unions saw the same effect when their collective bargaining rights were taken from them. What's in it for the UAW now since they won't be collecting any dues? The UAW and the Machinists union at Caterpillar brought on a lot of destruction with their many deadly strikes. The UAW ruined Detroit. A lot of work will be moving to Indiana from Illinois and Michigan. With RTW Indiana right next door Michigan has no choice. Public unions will be ruined in RTW states..thus offsetting the damage Obama does

Wolf you're there..give em hell!! I got an e-mail too but I can't do the drive

I missed the "Civil Disobedience" training Saturday by the UAW and I HATE the "Nerd" with a passion.... Prudence, and the Ol Lady, suggest I stay home unless I'm willing to spend a few days with BUBBA.

Bubba may be big but I hear he's gentle.

Snyder signed the legislation so now Michigan is a proud RTW state. No one will be able to "Opt Out" on current contracts but when renewed the freeloading can start.

This isn't over. What the Michigan lawmakers did was unconstitutional. The process by which they voted it in.not by a vote of the people.

Snyder and his Puppet Sheutte do not have a good batting average in Court so I'm hopefull, we shall see.

You know this how????? Is the Michigan Legislature ordered by their constitution to do so?

Well, if the unions knew how to sell their service, they would have nothing to worry about.
But no, they have to rely on government legislation to secure thier future.
