Just out of curiosity does anyone have anything good to say about Vitran, I have been here for almost 10 1/2 years and for the most part have been happy. sure I would like to see some things better. but over all I think this company is as good as any other, I like to think that if the grass is greener on the other side of the fence it's only because they used a darker color spray paint.
 
Nobody cares about how many mistakes are made,so thats a good thing, takes pressure off of ppl. Go to work, do your job, don't give a damn, collect a paycheck. True, but it isn't the little guys fault that it's ran half-butted. Why care and waste energy on a place that has management that "doesn't know what to do" and doesnt care. Save that energy for your family and your own health and well being. When the numbers start going in the wrong direction, I'm sure Canada will make someone get the rags outta his butt and do something. Until then, who cares! And thats a good thing.

You might have misinterpeted, maybe not. But you can still go to work, care about the quality of "your" job and the amount that is required of yourself and still pull out of the parking lot not giving a damn about the rest. Theres too many little ppl that are pulling way more than their share, which naturally makes it easier for upper management so they don't have to do their job and get after the slackers that they insist on keeping due to the family, friend or "lover" scenerio. Who knows, you could be a slacker for all I know. I did check with my doctor awhile back and he did say considering the work environment, I did have a healthy attitude. So I say, "Go to work, do your job, don't give a damn, collect a paycheck" is a good thing. And that's what I thought the topic of this thread is about, what is good about working for Vitran. I do not think the topic is about my kitty kat.:coffee1:
 
This is true,it is what it is.Perfect,hell no.Paycheck never bounced and I guesss because of my location,plenty of miles.Don't expect much and you won't be disappointed.Don't look at them as a friend.Your friends are other drivers,sometimes.Out of sight and out of mind.Don't get noticed or you will be under their radar.It could be better but it is not going to change.Make the best of it each night and go home.
 
I agree with FluffKitty. Why stress over things out of your contol. Do the best you can and don't worry about it beyond that.
 
just found out this week that all linehaul drivers at jackson tn. got a pay raise .35 across the board.so vitran doesn't treat all drivers equal.so i have nothing good to say about vitran.

Define better. Linehaul gets paid per mile, so they were raised 35 cents? Or they were raised up to $.35? or raised 3 and 1/2 cent per mile? (that'd be .035) And any idea why just Jackson, TN ?
 
watch what u say about vitran, vijax racer might b offended and fire off on u. lol. 1) vitran, 2) god, 3) country.

Yes there is as long as there are" ship anything for a buck" trucking LTLS like Vitran they will survive.Even with screwed up management.:Emoticon_digging:

Fudgie you must be somewhere that did not have Pjax Management cause we got stuck with em!
Cause since the buyout of PJAX i can only say is i have a Job and a Paycheck! And no it is not as good as any other company i beg to Differ!
I mean seems to me it has gotten worse!
