con-way has taken away every incentive to do this. but i will still go to the training they have at the yard.

I dunno about that, I won my state last year and they treated my wife and I like a King and Queen for a week in Minneapolis. This year NTDC is in Salt Lake City, never been there so hope to get back to it!

If your giving Conway that kind of recognition, why wouldn't they bait you with perks?

I figured since they haul our freight, they ought to be able to sign up to win that pickup or cash money. I gave one Subservice driver a star card an told him the fifth star is you. He really liked it. Made me feel good to show some integrity to these hard workers.

Lmao!!! That's the way to keep moral up in these tough times.

I would try this year but already made plans to get a root canal and colonoscomy that day, damn the luck. Not to mention I loaned out my kneepads to a fedup driver he'll get more use out of them than i will.

Be more specific in what you mean by conway has taken away every incentive. Ive always had a very positive experience doing the Virginia TDC, conway pays for the hotel, food, etc..... I even got paid time off to attend the TDC....maybe its different other places i dont know. If you make it to the nationals they pay for everything and if you get 1st place you get a new truck or cash equal, heck thats awsome.

I have placed in the top three in 2011 and 12. This year I took conway's pretest and failed. So the incentive is gone, we strive to be accident free, safe, careful not to have a accident because we look forward to the competition. But once again, Conway finds a way to cut back save money and punish the drivers that have done well in the past. They are trying to weed out the free rides that don't care, but in return going to affect one's that do. Why try, or care clock in do your pedal work the dock clock out go home, get paid. That's what they want so where's your incentive, because I don't have one. Six years accident free and can't compete. Lamo!!!

Heck i failed it too....got a 76. I heard that only 30 something drivers in the entire company had passed it as of last week. There were some off the wall questions on that pre-test.....dunno where they came up with them! Oh well, i didn't loose any sleep on it.

I'm not worried about it either, I figure that I was hired to drive and deliver freight . So thats what I plan to do, and nothing else but what I was hired for. No lean, no driver training etc, deliver freight on time and to be safe. I wouldn't want to go and win, that would make them look to good

every question came from that little 2012 facts for drivers brown book.
