Tractor trailer accident snarls traffic in Greensboro 1/14/2013

It's a mess, all right. Although when I left work about 1/2 an hour ago they did have one southbound lane open. Still a lot of emergency vehicles around. It's a total cluster, the way they threw all those roads together out there. The best description I've heard was from a driver who called it "a bowl of noodles". All I know is about 2-1/2 hours earlier and I'd have been hella late to work!

That whole project was a mess. The state bought my home back in 95 for it.I use to be a vol.fireman at Pinecroft&have alway's stay'd in touch everyone there..When they finish'd that section the fire department spent day's trying to work out a emergency plan .If you notice when riding the by-pass that there is no cross over's for emergency vehicle's on that side of the loop..It's just a mess...There was very little fog when it happen'd..I just think the flatbed driver just ran off the road.

And to think this all started because 2 4-wheelers hit eachother. Another classic example of what happens when you tailgate.

I think Kenneth's right, that the flatbed driver probably ran off the road. The ramps in that area are evil, in fact the one on the other side of the bridge is even worse, it's almost a tight 360 and trucks turn over there all the time from going too fast. And too fast on that one is still a crawl.

You're right about the fire department too, no crossovers to be seen. We see and hear the fire trucks from the Bishop Rd. station all night long and I wonder how long it takes them to get anywhere, having to go around their elbow to scratch their ass like they do. Very poor planning, I've always wondered what kind of drugs the NCDOT engineers are on...

Oh well, off to work. Let's see what kind of fun we have on the 73 loop today!

Don't believe the 4-wheeler's started that. The flatbed driver ran off road&over correct'd then the other truck it the flat bed.Everyone alway's throw's up the 4 wheeler's.Well, alot of cases it's the big "Professional Steering Wheel Holder's"that think they can just hog the road.Everyone in a big hurry to get no-where.

The article did say that 2 4-wheelers collided and a flatbed swerved to avoid them. Thats when the other truck hit the flatbed. Classic example of following too closely.

Love how other's read the article only&take that word to say what happen'd.I saw the wreck.I seen local info on the crash..This morning they said that the flatbed driver hydroplaned off to the shoulder then over-correct'd&jack-knifed.Secondly the New's source Fox 8 love's to give false info.So I never go off them only.

Oh my whatever happened,.
What the crash scene photos shows, looks like the Flatbed trucker really got the worst of it.
