Averitt | raise

I've not been here as long as many have, but I've never saw t/l not get a raise when Ltl got one, now the dedicated guys are a different ball of wax.

You're right...first time While everyone else gets their raise free of charge we have to pay for ours...

Congratulations..P&D,Shuttle,Dock and the Mechanics, for a well deserved PAY RAISE! One thing I'm NOT going to do is hate on someone for getting a pay raise. Truckload got NOTHING!!!!!!! :nut_kick:The so called revised compensation change is this..
Corperate will set a BASELINE MPG for each type of truck and year group,if a driver has a increase of 2% over the BASELINE MPG standard for a specific quarter, that driver will/should get a WHOLE penny for the miles run that quarter. To continue to recieve the penny the driver MUST maintain the 2% over the ESTABLISHED BASELINE. It was quoted that we can take a little OWNERSHIP in the program. OWNERSHIP?????? ARE YOU EFFIN KIDDING ME! :hysterical:Obviously there are people who must think that we in T/L have static financial commitments. Prices for EVERYTHING have gone up since the last raise and are still going up,you think it's cheap living out on the road and maintaining a household think again. Try doing this on variable 1500-2200 mile per week,5-6 days. Yes I'm disappointed,I feel I'm well worth the 1.5 per mile straight up,I'm not going to dwell on the SNUB. I'm going to continue to do my job to my BEST ability,as I have done since DAY ONE! I will continue to drive the truck the SAME way I'm doing it now, don't care if I get a so called BONUS or not. This is the deal,,,,turn as many LEGAL miles I can in a week, while spending as little time as possiable in the truck....thats a SURE THING!:1036316054:

It's as if we can pick and choose our loads...

"Oh no I don't want that load its to heavy and will affect my MPG"...

What a load of crap. They route us on impossible routes and base our MPG on those routes and when we run practical routes it affects our MPG...

This is nothing but a SLAP IN THE FACE...I can just picture mgt laughing their a**es of when they came up with this crap...

10-4 on that!......imagine getting stuck on continous 40-45k loads, over and around the mountians,or picking one off the yard that has drops in the city. The CHOSEN ones get to run the easy miles and then drop on the yard for some smuck to delvr....As you know...We can't pay toooo much or the other truckload carriers will get mad! I guess I'll pass on the cookouts for awhile...don't want to get fired for showing excessive disappointment!

Those cook outs are a joke I have never been to one. They want to show the love by feeding you while they pay "Short" miles and make you wait for hours for a load with no pay...

Hypocrisy from the former owner/controller GS? While we creep down the road at a smoking 64 mph (after being told turning trucks up to 68 wouldn't make a difference in fuel mileage and then turning them down) GS's other company, First Fleet, smokes by us on a daily basis at 68-70 mph.

Like a say, you don't want to know the truth, it might make you happy, and how fun is that? It is not cool to be content. If it makes you happy to think Gary S. is out of the loop, think on Brother, it's a free country for now.

My truth which I believe is as relevant as your truth which you choose to believe.

I had not heard that FF was sold. Averitt, as with most outfits, gives a truck just enough to get it to top speed (65) and no more. If they opened them up and gave us the ability to run 70 the fuel mileage would increase and we wouldn't always be SWIFTing up the highways. In Texas case, the speed on most open highways is 75 and on a toll road around Austin it is 85. Get on there with an Averitt truck and you are running 20 mph below the speed limit. How is THAT for safety!!

I agree, you should never fight with a dispatcher, talk about getting a bull's eye on your back. I work with a guy who gives heck to every dispatcher he encounters, both on the phone and in person. He never seems happy, either too long a hook or too short a hook. I wonder if they have him in "therapy" ? And his crappy hooks are what is called "therapeutic dispatches." I practice enjoying and remembering the good nights and that makes the rough nights so much easier. I can't remember the last rough night I've had, like having to wait for a load, or getting out late. I am so spoiled !

Local dispatch on linehaul runs is almost non-existing. 99% of these decisions are made by the nerve center on Neal St. (if that's where it is).

Lets see...April 12th no fuel mileage bonus...guess I didn't earn my raise...hope all the averitt employees enjoy your raise...TL isn't considered Averitt employees...

You will not see anything until the END OF THIS quarter....APRIL,MAY,JUNE...LOTS OF LUCK:LMAO:....I'm NOT going to change the way I operate the truck....if they feel that I'm not worth the 1.5 cents EVERYONE else got...there is a place they can SHOVE the fuel bonus!:smilie93C_peelout:
