FedEx Freight | Latest ******ation

Yard times are decided by local and regional managment. Our former regional whatever told us he wanted no more than 20 minutes for pm yard time. It was his rule. The company's policy is 30 minutes. I told him that if I am getting close to my 20 minutes and don't have time to post trip the equipment I will write in the VIR book that post trip inspection was not performed due to not enought pm yard time allowed. He said no we couldn't do that. Then the 20 minute thing went away

I am calling B S on this one. I am a city driver and have not heard of this. Policy has always been a half hour to get out the gate. Maybe they are trying this out in your area to see if it can be done.

BS pretty much describes the "management" style at my barn. I think they're trying it out just to see if they can get away with it. Can't wait to quit these pigs.

they want us to come in at least a hour earlier than our start time so we can make the gate ...

They told us the same thing in a road meeting once. A couple of us asked them if they were going to start paying us to come in earlier. Also we let them know that means we have less time to complete our bid run and may not be able to get back in time to start that night or even to get freight back at all. They weren't to moved by it

Its slow again. Its time to weed out all non hackers. Drop your cock and grab your socks it time to go to work.

ya...saftey is on the backburners when you can pull out from a dock with the door open on the trl, just about kill somebody, and get 3 days off....but they ll be damned if you re not out the gate lickity split! This company has it all figured out...and oh ya, make sure your seatbelt is on while on the forklift, motor turned off, and parking brake set...they ll be hell to pay otherwise....frickin morons!
