Reading the SPECULATION as to the cause IMO is disgraceful. Because some uninformed reporter assumed speed was a factor DOES NOT mean that was the cause. The driver is domiciled at St. Louis, do you even know which direction he was headed? I doubt it! We should ALL be relieved NO ONE was injured.
I wouldn't want to foot that clean up bill! I hope for Yrc that the bridges steel didn't get damaged in that fire.I remember a wreck like that,that burned so hot it melted the steel in the bridge deeming the roadway above unsafe!
Your response is indicative of one of the biggest problems at YRCF. Yes you are correct, NO company may operate without insurance. But just as you have a deductible, so too does YRCF. And the last figure I was aware of, that deductible was $3,000,000. That's a LOT of money, for one accident, when you have an O/R of 97.
